  1. Paul Molitor using cocaine did not make him a better player than those who chose not to break the law (or the rules of baseball) by using cocaine. How did it not help him? Thats like saying greenies didnt help players in the 70's,80's. Cocaine probably helped him get over long nights of partying.
  2. Press conferences, throwing the collector under the bus, looking into the cameras and denying any and all guilt. Pathetic. I guess I dont know why you quoted me, but to your response, I dont care. Like someone else said, Molitor was doing enough coke for everyone on here twice over, but he is still beloved to this day. These guys are just numbers and names to me, in essence, characters in a video game. What they do or say doesnt affect my life, it only affects my enjoyment of my team winning.
  3. I for one believe that HGH should be legal in MLB. Hell I can go buy the stuff right now at the mall. You might as well let them all do it, and in fact I would be in favor of it. Now before someone comes with, "why not get rid of Laws, since people break them anyways", save it, this is a stupid sport, not real life. I am just glad that its going to be over after this season and hope that he is back to his MVP ways next year and beyond. If you are in someway angered or "hurt" by this decision, get over your self. Are you mad at movie stars when they go to rehab, because that is on the same level of this and in the way it impacts your life.
  4. At some point here I am going to be rooting for them to get that MLB record. Its fun to see how many innings they can get runners on and find a way not to score.
  5. As a business, especially one without stock holders, you never want to show a large profit. You pay bonuses and invest back into the team. Also, I think the stadium is part of the value.
  6. Because as Patrick Ewing so bluntly put it, "We make a lot of money, but we spend a lot of money". You can never be rich enough. I remember when I was working construction in college making $12 hr and thought to myself that if I were making $15 a hr I would be set. The next year I made $15 and thought, if I made $20 hr I would be living the dream. I then got there and then it was the next amount etc. Now that is on a smaller scale, but you can never have enough.
  7. I may be alone here, but I couldnt care less if the players on my favorite team "cheat" because everyone else is and actually I hope the players on that team are better at it then the other teams. Now I know just because everyone is doing it doesnt mean its wrong, but come on its sports, and its nothing but entertainment and thats all I want is to be is entertained. Do I think Braun guilty, yes I do, do I care, no. If you for some reason feel cheated or lied to, then you need to reevaluate you life and get some Sensodyne, but you are way to sensitive. Its an athlete doing what it takes to maximize his earning potential.
  8. if I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn’t be more surprised than I am now
  9. If he foul tipped it, how does Gomez get to stay at 2nd?
  10. He is the new Dave Bush. Pitches 6 innings a game, 5 of those Cy Young, 1 arsonist. He is what he is, but he is a very good 4-5 guy, as long as he is cheap.
  11. Pena announcing his presence in Helena with a 2 run shot in his first at bat.
  12. I dont think you understand what the term marginally means. Gomez's arm along makes him a vastly superior outfielder. When you combine that with his better route running and over all feel for the position, Gomez is well above Morgan. That would be like saying Greinke is only marginally better then Wolf.
  13. It basically depends on if Segura ends up being as good as Escobar and if one of the pitchers does as good Odroizzi and its a great reset. Cain and Jefferess are easily replaced with players already in the system(see Schafer).
  14. Is it just me or does the PA guy sound like Ignignokt(Mooninites) from Aqua Teen Hunger Force
  15. Looks like they are going to play him at short with Dee Gordon on the DL.
  16. Brewers 2012 = over 40 guy with comb over and members only jacket hanging out in "da club" trolling for girls in their 20's
  17. If they win this game, I could see DM and or RR coming out and saying something to the effect of "Well, we went out and beat a Cy young pitcher and this is the type of game that can turn a season around..."
  18. Khris Davis seems to be fully healed. Him and Hunter Morris have to be the promotion watch list. Would rather see what Davis can do in AAA then watching Corey Patterson being run out there every night.
  19. Doesnt Aram have a no trade clause in his contract? I could see him using it. One of the main reasons he chose Milwaukee was because it was close to his home.
  20. I would think the bid would have to start with Trumbo and then go from there.
  21. and just for kicks, follows that up with another HR. Not sure, but did this hot streak start with his bobble head night. You know, the one with him hold Scooter Gennet in his arm.
  22. The problem is that there is a log jam down in AAA too, especially at first. Add that fact that Hunter Morris in AA is going to force a bump up here soon and it looks like Taylor may need to work on 2nd base too.
