    I already had an authentic Braun road jersey (ordered the day he was called up last year) and bought an ASG patch and sewed it onto the "blank" sleeve above the Majestic logo. Looks great and exactly like he wore at the game last night. So that's an option if you don't like the pullover ASG jersey but still want something with a little more "extra" than a regular jersey.

    Braun hitting 7th probably means he only gets one AB unless the NL scores a bunch of runs early in the game. And can we stop with the "XYZ means this players price just went up" talk. Sheets is having a good year and is a good pitcher. That determines his price. Going to the all-star game and starting are a result of him having a good year and being a good pitcher - it's not "extra". Same thing with Hart - the fans voted him in and so that means he automatically gets an extra million next year. Come on, be serious people.

    The "stumble" this week has just been the same of what they've done all year - lack of consistent, timely hitting and poor bullpen pitching. 11 runs Thursday and then 1 hit in the first 6 or so innings Friday against a guy who they shouldn't have had trouble with.

    this team is in trouble. going to be 7 back at the break most likely. zero consistent hitting all year.

    cubs win. ugh. i suppose coming back from 7-0 to tie it is even more than you can expect from the giants, much less actually winning the game in extras.

    Just got back from the game. Ugh this was a tough one. No hitting for the first 6 innings, and then we get the lead only to enjoy it for about 4 minutes before it's gone and then the WP just took the air out of the place. A sweep seems likely this weekend. Hopefully the other divisional teams lose one or two otherwise it's looking like 7 back at the break. Ouch.

    Perhaps, but on the other hand, if he does make it (beating guys from much larger markets like Wright), maybe the great support he's been getting from both the fans and the team/front office with this might just be one more thing on the "pro" side of the pro/con list he has when he thinks about signing a new deal with the club.
