  1. Ned Yost think about October? I don't think he can fathom such a thing.
  2. Ray Durham, where have you been? Oh yeah, on the bench in lieu of Rickie Weeks.
  3. Pretty efficient inning for CC. Still a questionable call by Ned to throw him out there in the first place. Now I think we are guaranteed to see CC in there for the 9th. Ned still doesn't know how to manage pitchers, and I don't think he ever will.
  4. Ryan Braun is starting to fill that void left in my heart when Brett Favre left town.
  5. Its not like Kershaw was dominating the Brewers. The Brewers have been letting him off the hook all day. Rickie sprains his thumb swinging at and missing a curveball? LOL. Say a long overdue "hello" to the pine, Richie.
  6. ESPN is good for one thing and one thing only, live sports coverage. BT and SC have become total jokes.
  7. Great strikeout by Riske there. Now all the moves by Ned were the right ones. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Ned made decent, calculated moves. But I don't see how you can say he made all the right calls when the ultimate outcome didn't work out. Obviously the calls he made weren't right, because if they were the Brewers would have won. Granted I don't think Ned made any bad moves that inning, but the moves he did or didn't make ended up not working out, players fault notwithstanding. If this is how you are going to judge a manager you'll never have any idea how good one is. How good a manager is comes down to how good his players are by this logic. Are you honestly going to try to say that putting in Rivera in the 9th is wrong every time he blows a save? Or that starting Sabathia is wrong if we lose the game? I sure hope not. I really wasn't judging Yost. I just said his moves didn't work out. So they couldn't have been the right ones. I could make the greatest sales pitch of the century in most people's opinion, but if I don't close the deal that pitch was ultimately not the right one.

  10. I have to imagine Bill Hall makes that play more times than Counsell.
  11. WTG Shouse. Way to make it even tougher on Torres. I agree the matchup thing was a nice idea, but I would've liked to see Torres start the inning there.
  12. This will be a tough one for Torres. Good audition for some bigger games coming up later this year. Build that Confidence Sal. Edit: I mean Shouse. Weird.
  13. What, and miss all the excitement? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Great D tonight. Torres, careful with Manny.
  14. I hope there is a plan B warming in the pen... just in case.
  15. Let's go bullpen! Who's our "8th inning guy" tonight?
  16. Please win Brewers. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. 17. Everyone has time to follow a team. Everyone.
  18. I have to be honest. This series is scaring me right now. While 2 of 3 will make me happy, I will understand if the Brewers only get one.
  19. It wasn't a no brainer, but Ned stayed with Sheets too long. Could have PH for him in the top of the 7th there, but oh well. Ned having to make tough decisions like that, where hindsight is obviously 20/20, are the positions where I don't have much faith in him pushing the right buttons.
  20. All right, now the question is how many hits in a row does Ned let Sheets give up. I am putting the over/under at 6 in a row. Its now at 3.
  21. What a duel going on here. Who is going to flinch first?
  22. Powell giving Everitt a little business with his strikezone just now.
  23. Gameday made that last pitch to Hall look very outside.
