Is this the thread we can go to complain about lack of roster depth, injuries and how the offense stinks in general?
  2. JackNicholson1974
The lack of depth this organization has on offense may be the death of them. When half of the lineup consists of Elian Herrera/Overbay/Reynolds/Schafer it reminds of the days of Ronnie Belliard/Tyler Houston/Marquis Grissom/Paul Bako

My first thought was "Cool!" My second thought was "They still print Sports Illustrated?"
  4. JackNicholson1974
Can someone post a replay of the "hit" if they can find it?

Dead Simmons, I have really enjoyed your presence on this forum, keep up the good work. Re: National Exposure, I agree, if they play well they will get noticed, but not on ESPN. I dont know why but it is clear that ESPN promotes two things. #1 NBA #2 NFL then college sports then baseball, everything else, then Hockey.

How much longer until we DL somebody?
  7. JackNicholson1974
It was a good guess, someone was going to be right though. I cant predict what I am going to eat for breakfast.

Hellweg is Jeff Juden 2.0. I dont think he is a major league player. What is this team going to do with their 25 man roster? Half the bench is unavailable on a daily basis and the bullpen is fried despite great starting pitching.

    Lohse. 2004 jacknicholson1974 can't believe I just typed that.
  10. JackNicholson1974
    That's because their offense stinks.

15-13. Lets hope we can not embarrass ourselves in st. louis this week.

buy the cheapest cards you can find. I have bought Topps Opening Day for $0.99 a pack and my kids love them. They will all be worthless no matter what you buy and with them being so cheap when my kids use them as paper airplanes I dont get upset!

Everything the Cardinals touch turns to gold, I dont see that changing this year. They are one of the best 3-4 teams in the NL.

So Gomez gets kicked out of game +3 and Gerrit Cole gets nothing for being the crybaby that started the whole thing? Im seriously angry with Gomez for being so selfish that he couldnt keep his you-know-what together and now has seriously cost this team some roster flexibility.

    DFA'ing Figaro seems shortsighted.
  16. JackNicholson1974
This team is better than I thought it was going to be, or at least the pitching is. I think Wang needs to go. The Starters have been pitching very well and the bullpen is STILL taxed. We cant keep a guy on the roster who doesnt pitch.

I get the feeling that Herrera was the kid growing up who told the coach he played whatever position he knew the coach needed. Love his versatility.

Nice good to hear espn and mlb network recognize pirates hypocrisy.
  19. JackNicholson1974
If Gerrit Cole ever pumps his fist and screams after an inning-ending strikeout I hope the benches clear and he gets punched in the mouth for being bush. Oh wait, the unwritten rules only apply to hitters.
  20. JackNicholson1974
With the way this guy pitched in spring training, and with some of the games we have won in the last week not being that close in the 8th inning, I dont see why he wasnt brought in to get ONE OUT, even telling him that he was coming in for just one out. I was hoping he was selected and kept to be a useful pitcher in bullpen, not the next Enrique Cruz.

Really excited to see The Happy Youngster in the video. I love that guy. Wait..no I dont, yeah that was when I knew I had seen enough and shut it off.

It was nice that the Brewers tried to extend him, but I wouldnt lose sleep over not getting it done. I think Jean is a nice player, I really like him, but he was playing way over his head the first 3 months of last season. If he has another good season try to extend him again. If he plays like he did in the second half of last season he is going to wish he signed the extension.
  23. JackNicholson1974
Segura's shoulder will bother him all year and make us wish for the return of Pat Listach wait what does Optimism mean?
  24. JackNicholson1974
So JH lost the job already?
  25. JackNicholson1974
When I hear things like "sources say" price is up to 3.5 and that Brewers are still in, it tells me that this guy is moving on. Which then leads me to the article this winter...why ever report that there is a handshake deal if the chances are it will never hold up? It just seems so stupid to me.
