  1. Brewers need to pick up or sign another 6-8 pitchers to fill out the AAA Roster.
  2. Stearns and his comments crack me up. 4 guys separated themselves from other players in the organization. IMO Nottingham should not have been added. The guy repeated AA and put up garbage numbers.
  3. Brewers should have picked up Hand off waivers before the Padres grabbed him back in 2016.
  4. I would of started Alex Wood for 1 to 3 innings and then let the bullpen and Kershaw go to work. Darvish looked off in the first inning and shouldn't have been out there in the 2nd.
  5. Hopefully they add him to 40 man roster. Down in winter league to make a living and he's shut down by Brewers, they should pay him what he would of made.
  6. I think I wrote about this before but here it is again. I really get tired about hearing about versatility. I would rather have a guy be able to play one position and be great at it rather than three positions and be mediocre to average at all three. All I hear about is rebuild, rebuild, rebuild. Why not bring up a younger guy in Orf instead of signing an older veteran like Sogard. At some point Dubon is going to be up too. They have two to three guys at AAA that could easily play as well as Sogard and are younger. There really is nothing to lose by giving a chance to someone else.
  7. I think he sold himself short. Wouldn't he have made 6 million this year under Arbitration?
  8. I would rather have Nate Orf play 2nd at league minimum and yes he played multiple positions at AAA.
  9. I'm surprised no one asked Counsell how it feels to set a MLB record for strikeouts (1571) by a team in a season.
  10. I'm sure Swarzak is going to take the best deal available to him. I doubt it's the Brewers. The Brewers can go out and get Garza for a couple million instead of five million and then release him two months into the season next year.
  11. And exaclty as predicted, Quentin Berry had zero impact in any game since being called up.
  12. Lackey is not that good, we should put up a 4 or 5 spot against him.
  13. The article said that it took Nelson half a season to start showing results of the tweaks, maybe that should what Jungmann was going through too. He was pretty good in AAA. I recall reading an article from somewhere that stated Jungmann went back to one of his former coaches last off season and got tweaked back to his original delivery. It obviously worked because he pitched great at AAA this year.
  14. More importantly, why is Susac and Bandy on roster and not Jungmann. Arms are more valuable down the stretch.
  15. I'm pretty sure he was trying to get released, still would have collected a check for the season. Surprised Brewers brass didn't have the balls to release him.
  16. His tweaks to Jungmann last year were awful. I think another coach fixed him after the end of the year. So best hire in organizational history is a stretch. Probably the primary reason he didn't get called up this year.
  17. Choice got sold to the KBO league.
  18. Is that supposed to be in blue? Probably but just repeating what I've heard from Counsell.
  19. Didn't Anderson just come off an injury lately? Starting on 3 days rest is asking for another injury.
  20. But he's a great clubhouse presence and mentor to the younger guys. If the Brewers gave 5.5 million to Feliz they surely will give Garza 5 million. It's pennies to a baseball organization. Remember Tommy Milone and his 1.25 million dollar contract, he actually has done worse for the Mets than the Brewers. Please don't sign any more washed up guys for starting or bullpen roles.
  21. Guys like Susac, Bandy and Berry just riding pine. Should have brought up Jungmann, Dejesus and Wren for their work this year.
  22. Thanks to all those who kept us up to date on the daily reports.
