    Perhaps. Although it's funny. Now that we have some pretty decent depth in the organization, I don't feel any rush to move guys. Now obviously, I'm not watching them everyday, so I have no idea how advanced they are in their development, but it looks like Di Turi can at least be counted on as a guy with great BB/K ratios. Bitoni, though, should stick in AZ for awhile, IMO. He's only had about 80 professional ABs, and his K-rate is... not good.

    2 to 4 weeks isn't so bad. It probably gives just enough time/leash for the other guys (Dunn/Bauers) to prove their worth, or risk being removed from the 26 man upon Hoskins' return.

    It was a bad trade at the time, and my only hope was that Olson would end up washing out. Obviously, that hasn't been the case.

    I don't know why this is, but I don't want to leave this question on page 2. I'm "glad" this is the case, because I've felt all year that the Brewers pitchers were getting squeezed. (No, I didn't feel that way last year).

    Makes me wonder if there's any connection with Yelich's chronic back issues, being that he's acknowledged taking tons and tons of swings.

    As he mentions, "SSS," but these peripherals suggest... dare I say, intrigue? Guarded excitement?

    Makes me wonder if the Brewers style of play (BIP, Baserunning, speed), lends itself to big games here and there because the opposing run-prevention unit just can't deal with SBs, lack of double-plays, etc. I, for one, would love it if teams could win in different ways in MLB. It would create more fun-drama with matchups.

    The article didn't mention anything about robo-umps, which I think is a mistake. Those hitters have such a refined eye with the "perfect" strike zone. Take those pitches in MLB, and they strike out.

    No more options on Bauers. That's why I wasn't a fan of the move in the first place. However, I concede he probably gets too much hate on here. He looks like a competent at-bat and good glove at first. If he's not playing that often, he's a rosterable big leaguer, and like someone else mentioned, you want Black playing every day.

    Gosh do I love Cooper Pratt's swing. He really looks like the complete package, and a future big leaguer.

    I also think that sending Ashby to Arizona could help. Take a little performance-pressure off, and really get him honing his mechanics.

    Those were some fun boxscores to read today. Great to have Brown, Wilken, and Clarke back. The awesome pitching performances were so fun. Are there guys in Nashville that the Brewers don't feel like they can release for depth-reasons? I ask this because like the rest of you, some of these guys are looking at promotions. Maybe there's just an organizational log jam making promotions hard.

    Was there any update on the severity of Wiemer's injury? I can't find anything.

    Great stuff. I'm not sure that there's a ton of organizational strategy, beyond that of trying to stay out of 3 ball counts, preferring to earn weak contact instead. I would assume, as you mention in the article, it is mostly coincidental to the skillsets of their available pitchers.

    1- I think Peralta drilled Siri on the upper thigh on purpose. 2- I think it's ridiculous to toss him for that, w/o warnings/bad blood. 3- I suspect Siri has a reputation, or this whole thing comes from 5-year old minors stuff. Peralta has a choirboy image, Siri seems like he's channeling his inner Jose Canseco. I suspect there's a number of players that hate Siri (not that that excuses violence). 4- Uribe was verbally defending his team, telling Siri what he thinks, Siri verbally defends, the young Uribe loses it. 5- It's early. Peralta has plenty of innings to pitch this season. Uribe could probably use a break. 6- Brewers HAVE to get some breaks tomorrow. Guccioni (sp?) and co., need to mend some fences.

    So say tonight, Frelick has already pinch-hit for Ortiz against a tough righty, and represents the winning run on 2nd base, with Wiemer scheduled to bat with 2 outs... Will it be Dunn, Bauers or Tyler Black pinch hitting for Wiemer?

    I wonder where he'll bat in the lineup? I could see him hitting in literally any spot.

    Not to derail the thread, but Bauers has also enjoyed the best spot in the lineup, in front of Hoskins with RBI opportunities. The Brewers have basically given Bauers a month-long posh role on the club to see if he can capture some of his prospect magic, and he hasn't done it.

    Based on the eye-test, I'm surprised Bauers has been as poor as he's been. I just think they have to release him. Of course, they can send down Miller or Dunn, too, but I feel like they are just delaying the inevitable. I'm very worried about Black being really really poor in the field, though.

    This is the first and only forum I've ever participated in, and it is because it is typically civil, readable, fun, and filled with some really good posters. I think the disagreements tend to maintain civility and respect, rather than what can be found on other forums. I believe this is in part due to the efforts the founders put into enforcing their rules, such as no cussing/flaming/etc. While I understand some posters think that loosening up some of those rules could create a little more color and flair, I think that in the long run, allowing such things would end up keeping a lot of good people away.
