    I always thought they couldn't have been on any 40-man during the season to be eligible for trade. I guess not. Also, I don't think many would agree but I miss August waiver trades.

    Joey passes up Yelich in OPS. Might have Contreras passed by the end of the series. The way both are going, Mitchell might stare at enough pitches that Ortiz eventually catches him as well.

    I wonder if Contreras even remembers what being fresh feels like after catching almost every day for years. I suggest bringing Naylor up for a couple weeks and see if a break helps get Contreras going for the final stretch.

    The Bauers/Vaughn/Sanchez all in the field combo. I appreciate the attempt to maximize offense.

    Probably the latter, and hope Frelick and Pratt return and somehow can't miss. The closest thing to a "ringer" in the minors is Luke Adams comes back from whatever he tweaked and doesn't miss a beat or Blake Burke just starts homering every other game. Was just asking myself who is enjoyable to watch hit. Like, Chourio was great for a week there. I guess Bauers, maybe? The pickings are slim. Inept offense just can't keep me entertained. At least losing games 9-7, you're feeling like the team has a chance to put up a few and pull out a win.

    Didn't realize Bae was exclusively a second baseman (and outfielder). I mislike that our options seem to be to move Turang to SS or play Vaughn at 3rd. Hopefully Ortiz can play soon, like tomorrow soon. Otherwise I am on the Luke Adams bandwagon (who is missing from the Sounds lineup tonight with Blake Burke up).
