1 run given up in 34 professional innings this year (16.1 MiLB, 17.2 MLB). In his first appearance at the major league level, to a guy OPSing over 1.100. WHIP of 0.50. Just amazing.

So much for beating each other up. That should just about do it for the division. The Cubs are even Ill-annoying when you want them to win. Though yes, losing six in a row to go from holding the wild card to four back while getting swept in four at home to the Cards, including three ninth inning meltdowns...is HILARIOUS.

Makes me more suspicious when Jackson follows up Woody instead of Gio. Maybe CC is just a genius and knew Jackson would have his best inning ever and strike out the side.

I thought Suter would be a wreck tonight after his water bottle that was supposed to last 40 years was destroyed before the game, but he just keeps on dealing.

A one game playoff in Washington against Scherzer (Strasburg if "lucky"), with a reward if we actually win of jetting cross country to LA is an impossible setup. Need some Cards losses, or at least Nats losses to get the game at home.

Faria is Junior Guerra. It's either so far out no one will chase or it's right down the middle. Except he doesn't have Guerra's good luck to get a fly out half the time on the meatballs.
