Ross would have been a nicer freebie. Damn Cardinals. Suppose he's better than Albers and could start if needed. Just not sure it's better than bringing Woodruff or Houser up. We've had plenty of turds come through, but I'll never write a pitching acquisition off immediately with Johnson's overall track record.

Now they'll have to start trying to hook me all over again. Just decided to do them a favor and pay attention this time...they're airing a Chevy Fourth of July Sales Event ad with some offer through July 9th. So I guess I have over 11 months to take advantage of the offer?

MLB could do more if the cities are forcing the schedule - either work with them to up the day games allowed, or make sure the schedule is giving the traveling team an off day following the series. I'd DL him until the rosters expand. Go get Barnes or Houser.

Since he's signed for next year, best course is just to DL him until rosters expand. Then you get at least spring training to see if he gets back into shape (pitching-wise).
