Can we recall Darryl Hamilton instead? Or maybe purchase the contract of a fan in the area? Hope Rock is doing ok... Adam McCalvy @AdamMcCalvy 1m Checked in with Bill Schroeder, who will stay in hospital another night for treatment of infection. Says thanks to fans for the well wishes. -
One down, division lead extended by a half game with Cards loss/Pirates win. Keep 'em coming...Dodgers started their new toy Correia tonight, pushing back the rest of the rotation so we'll face Greinke Friday and Kershaw Saturday. Will still be pleased with a 4-3 trip.

Nice, much needed Badger Mutual Insurance Run for Scooter "Triple-A" Gennett.
-
^^^ That was not classy of Adams.

I've never appreciated Rock's reading of the introduction line on relief pitchers more than I do now.

Thank. You. Khrush.

Braun was about three paces around third when the relay came. Send 'em home, Eddy!
-
Yes, it currently contains Davey Nelson babbling about everything except the fact that our hitters should be dressed in motley tonight because they look like total fools.

Wrigley: the only place where fans get more excited than Brian Anderson over a routine fly ball that has no chance of going out.
-
I won't sit in the 400 level, as the reasons mentioned are amplified up there due to drunks and more casual fans which is pretty much intolerable to me most of the time. Which to avoid such for a family going would double your price so probably isn't an option.

Any thoughts on possible Aug. trades?

http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/24656463/mets-vets-granderson-and-niese-clear-waivers-and-can-be-traded-now Surprised Jonathon Niese made it through unclaimed. $7M for 2015, $9M for 2016, and $10M/$11M options for 2016-17. He's struggled a bit over the past two months so not really good for us right now, but surprised no team wanted to put a claim in. -
Think we'll see Wooten and Figaro; of the two I'd rather have Figaro. Wang because we have to, Schafer because it's easy.
-
The other side of the coin for anyone who thought Estrada and Fiers were basically interchangeable for the start last night. I'll sign up for a 4-3 road trip.
-
Well, a runner was left on instead of making the out on the bases. That's something new.
-
Runner on second with no outs three innings in a row. All three runners out, and no runs. Frustrating.
-
Oh. My. Jimmy might have to practice base-running if he's going to get this many hits. Ugh, even more so...do they still let little kids run bases after Sunday games? Jimmy might want to join in
-
Was expecting a game over inning there. Not so bad.

Nice

Just read a comment on the Correia trade: "GREAT move by the Giants!"
-
Hanley Ramirez to the DL, Darwin Barney coming up. Barney (0-2) the only Dodger to have faced Nelson. Most success against Kershaw: Gomez (4-10, one double), Weeks (4-11, three doubles, three walks) Least success against Kershaw: Lucroy (0-10, one strikeout)

If you have to pick any position to have depth, we have the right one. Lost starter-in-waiting Thornburg, Estrada ineffective, Garza DL...and still don't have to resort to trying Donovan Hand as a starter.
