  1. Still tightness in the quad for Scooter. Maybe he will do some yoga in the clubhouse. Hopefully if RRR plans on using any relievers who "take a long time to get ready", he has them warming as we speak
  2. When Davis has a calf injury that pulled him last night, was terrible in his at-bats, tonight facing another right-hander, our SP produces a good number of fly balls, that's a time when you start your fourth outfielder. I'd question RRR if he didn't start Parra tonight.
  3. I like this idea. [sarcasm]Maybe Braun can even eat some (actual) gummy bears in the outfield just to draw scorn. Sell it, sister![/sarcasm]
  4. http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Wei+Chung+Wang+Milwaukee+Brewers+v+Pittsburgh+r-jRlGiw68pl.jpg Guess that month-long rehab assignment can begin now
  5. Pretty sure it was Schroeder. Guesses as to what he could have been referring to?
  6. He lost that chance by walking two guys with a five run lead.
  7. If it's on the back and leaves a bruise for a couple days it's easy to shrug off. When it's at the hands it's harder to swallow - a bruise affects a swing, and there's 27 bones per hand to break. But not like beaning them back will stop it.
  8. Was he tossed? I might have missed it. Yep, went out when he got Wainwright and complained about the call that was reviewed for the auto-toss.
  9. Ron wanted the Brewers fans in the crowd to have an opportunity to cheer Parra's entrance.
  10. Was that a flashback to when Matheny challenged or just recently with the pitching change?
  11. Someone needs to convince our hitters that every opposing pitcher is an ace.
  12. Not sure why Khrush wouldn't just hold unless he saw fastball after getting ahead, duped badly by that curveball all night.
  13. At least we get Gomez up with the bases loaded...neewwp more braindead base running. Don't mind the Segura bunt...one of the few situations he doesn't hit a weak grounder to short which is two with runners on.
  14. Yep, Prado is at $11M per through 2016. Not sure what they could have managed in the offseason, but don't think it's all that bad; looks like they get a good prospect, unknown value in cash or PTBNL, and ~$25M off the payroll.
  15. Really? How about as a PH every night instead of Schaefer? That's reason enough. But if it isn't, I'm sure they would like to rest Braun more often, but simply can't afford to take him out of the line-up. Parra allows Braun to rest once a week. Similar story with Gomez, Davis. So I would expect 2 starts a week from Parra. Something I'm sure they would have loved to so with Schaefer or Gindl, but couldn't. Yep, flexibility is great to have. When Gomez is swinging out of his hat every at bat and needs a day off, tough to do when you know 1-4 with a single would be more than you'd get out of Schaefer even with a right-hander on the hill. And when Braun is hobbling and doesn't belong in the lineup, you can sit him knowing there won't be a repeat of: http://giant.gfycat.com/GenerousUnitedIriomotecat.gif
  16. Looking at this line? I'd hope not. Let Parra play the 4th outfielder role. Below average offense is still a decent upgrade over Schafer when they're about even defensively.
  17. Fuld would have been a decent upgrade over Schafer as the 4th outfielder. But I wouldn't be willing to offer a higher price than an adequate back of the rotation left-hander under team control for three more years.
  18. http://media.jrn.com/images/660*412/b99254423z.1_20140423224040_000_ghm5t5r9.1-1.jpg Learned from Googling Kintzler that his wife is smokin'.
  19. Was hoping for Herrera, Schafer, and Overbay. Putting the split squad out against aces is this team's surefire way of breaking out offensively.
  20. Could be the Pirates. Thought this blurb from MLB TR was interesting: "The Bucs are not willing to part with prospects Tyler Glasnow, Nick Kingham, Jameson Taillon, Josh Bell, or Austin Meadows in a deal." Must be nice to have that many good prospects that you can float a laundry list out as "untouchable".
