Against the Brewers, the embattled former closer transforms into the supernatural being, Grant Strikethree. Looks like the Golden Sombrero website isn't active anymore; was looking forward to seeing the Gomez one. Looks like there's a Twitter...no funny Photoshops, but it's pretty hilarious that someone spends their nights waiting to get excited for Sombreros:

Agree. How many of those borderline calls do we get that go unmentioned? I'll fault Johnny and his nine hitters for terrible approaches all night over one borderline call going the wrong way.

Cardinals lose, Pirates win. Lead now at 2 1/2 over both. Tampa was 31-48 a month ago, and is now 49-53 with seven in a row and 4 1/2 back of the AL Wild Card. Hopefully they cool off next week.

As far as opponent TV crews we've had to tune into this season, the Reds' telecast is so much better than the Pirates.
