  1. The only players on the team with more games started are Shaw and Cain. Shaw 82 Yelich 74 Cain 72 Jesus 63 Villar 62 Villar has not consistantly been given the starting 2B job. He is sporadic at best. Oh ok
  2. The only players on the team with more games started are Shaw and Cain.
  3. Like I said, can’t wait for him to get a fresh start elsewhere. Well they gave him the primary 2B job (again) for the first half of the season and he was pretty mediocre (again).
  4. He's had hamstring injuries, not arm injuries. Getting rid of Ortiz because he dealt with some non-pitching-related injuries is ludicrous. Thank god you all aren't the GM. His K/9 and BB/9 have improved steadily every year he's been in a Brewers uniform, as have his advanced peripherals.
  5. Being fat, out of shape, injured, and unproductive often leads to disrespect in baseball. If having the Futures Game moniker attached to him boosts his value, we should cash it in before he is hit with a serious injury, or his velocity disappears. What a nonsensical post. He's got a 9.4 K/9 and 2.9 BB/9 this season, and I'm somehow skeptical you've even seen him pitch, much less that you are qualified to call him "fat" "out of shape" or "unproductive" If Ortiz hadn't dealt with injuries this season and last he would probably rank ahead of Burnes right now.
  6. I'd rather give up Woodruff than Ortiz. Ortiz gets no respect around here and I have no idea why. He's a potential top of the rotation arm.
  7. I know people are going to be angry, but that wasn't really that bad of a game. They had how many H+BB, 15? 16? Chase Anderson looking mediocre yet again was the only concerning part to me. And possibly something going on with Hader.
  8. Aguilar can't hit a home run literally every PA. The back end of the Marlins bullpen is fairly good.
  9. This game has been excruciating. I can't take any more!!! Hopefully wake up to a Brewers win
  10. Let's get a run here. Extra innings against the Marlins is depressing for everyone.
  11. Hader was back up to 94 mph in that AB. He probably is just rusty.
  12. Don't think I've ever heard a stadium beer vendor so clearly on a broadcast
  13. This inning isn't really Anderson's fault, but he is also looking pretty mediocre, isn't he?
  14. One of the benefits of being a Marlins fans is you can yell random things from anywhere in the stadium and everyone in attendance can distinctly hear you.
  15. MLB struggling to name the correct players to the All Star team.
  16. Britton has actually looked quite good overall. He had one bad game (0.1 IP, 4 ER) and gave up 3 BB in his first game back while he was still shaking off the rust. Other than that he's been excellent. Obviously there needs to be an injury discount but you're talking about a guy who is arguably the best left-handed RP in all of baseball (now behind Hader?) when healthy.
  17. Seriously? Those are the numbers, I didn't make them up. Machado hitting #3 would be incredible fun, but he is allegedly a terrible defender at SS and there's reason to worry his bat is not a huge upgrade over internal options.
  18. Hand will be overpriced because he has "closer" experience, which we do not need with Knebel/Jeffress/Hader in the bullpen. I would rather target Kirby Yates off the Padres. Arguably a better reliever right now and probably much cheaper.
  19. I have a feeling he's going to be overpriced. Angels are going to act like he's the guy who had an ace season in 2014 rather than the guy who is coming off yet another injury and has a 3.94 FIP this year. Would love to have him though, obviously.
  20. Food for thought: ZiPS RoS Manny Machado: .359 wOBA ZiPS RoS Brad Miller: .338 wOBA
  21. I definitely don't think he's Prince Fielder longterm. It's very hard to maintain a .400+ wOBA with Aguilar's BB/K numbers, in my opinion. That being said, he's made a strong claim to being at worst a 30 HR, .330+ OBP first baseman with acceptable defense and no significant platoon issues. That's a solid everyday 1B, and extremely valuable.
