    Josh Bell is probably more protected than any other Pirates prospect because they have no 1B option when Alvarez leaves for Free Agency (or anyone who will take him in a trade). They have no need for any OF players, especially since Josh Harrison plays 3B/2B/OF, and when he's healthy, he will more than likely take Polanco's spot when he's not spelling Ramirez at 3B. Pirates do not need Gomez

    THIS. Pedro has 15! errors at 1B this season. thats more than DOUBLE the next guy, Jose Abreu, and triple the most in the NL, 5 from Mark Reynolds. Pedro has more errors on his career at 3B/1B than he has home runs.

    except that adding that draft pick will add an additional pick and $800k to your signing pool. so thats worth a decent bit, especially if the team is going to end up with a top 5- 10 pick in a deep 2016 draft.
