  1. Run out of the league, or just plain sucked at football? There are and were a lot worse than him still given jobs. But looking at your posts above, I am sure that’s something you wouldn’t admit to.
  2. Clever? Naw... Kap consulted a veteran and it still wasn’t good enough for people. He was run out of the league. I think most people are sick and tired of authoritarian type situations.
  3. I saw a tweet that the average baseball fan age is now 57, up from 50 in 2000. Sad stuff that the MLB has done very little to grow the game and take on new generations of fans. If they play, they play. It’s sad and pathetic that it has come to that. But like others have said, I’ve found other things to fill my time. Heck, with other sports coming back, who needs baseball I guess.
  4. Eh, we will stink this year because we have such a lousy, stingy owner.
  5. The National Anthem never needed to be a part of the sports world.
  6. Since sports teams make so much money, why have an owner buy a team? Why doesn’t a state or city government just buy a franchise and use the profits for the people?
  7. Asking for 114 games is stupid to begin with. The MLBPA is starting to piss me off as well.
  8. I will take any sort of winning just to never hear Rock blabber on about 1982 anymore. The same goes for a no-hitter. Someone just do it already.
  9. 81 games and call it a deal. Bunch of buffoons.
  10. So all science then.
  11. If the MLB doesn’t play this year and other sports do, they’ll have a hard time getting me back as a hardcore fan. I probably will always follow the game to some extent but going to games, buying gear, etc.. nope.
  12. I'm not a huge fan of what the NHL is doing and I think it is sort of a joke but if my Blues win it again, you're damn right I'm counting it.

    PGA

I mean a weekend ago the PGA had 3 of their best players and 1 up and coming college star that’ll be on tour soon. They raised $5 million and had 2.35M TV viewers. Fast forward to yesterday and you broke a cable network rating at 5.8M and had a peak of 6.3M. On top of that, they raised $20M. The PGA does have a bunch of really good players these days but they don’t have stars that people tune in for like they do for Tiger. Tiger is that guy still. When he’s done, it is going to change quite a bit for the PGA unless they get lucky enough to have an up and comer.

The Match: It’s been a fun day of watching golf and I don’t watch a ton. What will the PGA do when Tiger and Mick retire? They need stars with some personality to step up.
  15. Should have just handed it off to Yelich.
  16. They’ve interviewed him a few times, the latest about how he’s spending his time, and he sounds content with the family time he’s been given. It’ll be a weird ending to one of the Brewers greats careers but I can definitely see him not playing anymore unless the DH is around and the Brewers feel he can fit that role going forward for a year or so.
  17. [sarcasm]You sound like a tobacco executive.[/sarcasm] I missed my calling.
  18. Baseball always has and always will start at capturing the youth. If you don’t catch them young and make a connection, they won’t care.
  19. Yep. The MLB just can’t get out of their own way. Concerned what the future of the game will look like down the road. They can’t/won’t even market their best players unless they’re in pinstripes.
  20. Sign him up!
  21. I keep saying it mentioned that someone would forget about their tickets. If they forget they bought tickets, to bad, so sad. Make a phone call and get a refund if you want. This is the only place I’ve even seen people complain on this issue.
  22. Over 100 in a 3-day period which is at the highest its been in a 3-day period. Will be interesting to keep following.
  23. Texas just had the largest spike in deaths (58) in one day. I really hope we aren't headed down that path here in Wisconsin.
  24. I hate that my state has become an embarrassment over the last decade or so. Just stupid decision after stupid decision leading to the one we have going on right now. The same people that complained to open it up will be the same blaming the government that people are dying in a few months if there’s another outbreak due to the stupidity that has already went on in the last 12 hours and that will continue to happen with no real plan in place.
  25. I think a lot of what happens in the future for Rodgers will be how he plays this season. Will he take a step forward within the framework of the offense that has been put in place or not will go a long way in deciding what they end up doing with him. Probably as much as how Love develops.
