  1. This is where I get lost with this. Is there not a ref up in the booth looking to review such things? If there isn't, there should be. I mean, we lost about an entire yard because that ref didn't know how to spot the damn football.
  2. Umm... where is the replay on this horrible call? These are the ones to fix. The obvious stuff. Come on.
  3. He also looks like he is seeking the sidelines as much as he can.
  4. It has been a very weird game so far. At times it looks like Wisconsin should just roll Oregon. Other times, we look lost. So strange.
  5. Didn't he build the contender in KC from basically stratch, though, and do the same with the turnaround so far in Cleveland? What exactly did he turn around in Cleveland? Holes all over their roster, a coach that should have never been, and traded big picks for a dysfunctional WR that can blow up any locker room. When it comes to KC, he brought in a ton of talent but in the end his poor communication skills and poor cap management got him removed. I think he knows his stuff obviously, but his GM resume isn’t all that great so far.
  6. John Dorsey seems to be somewhat clueless as a GM. Didn’t learn his lessons from KC to Cleveland. It will be interesting if he gets another shot at it what he does. Guy knows how to evaluate the draft, but it’s the other parts of the job that seem to be holding him back.
  7. After that long-winded rant I just skimmed, I’m good. But you’re asking posters to stop discussing/responding to a poster about the actual person this thread is intended for? Nothing I just said crosses any line around here. These threats are not really needed when it was basically one poster, that you already took care of, that was causing a ruckus in every thread.

  9. You know what I find funny about this? The fact that I've already fallen on my sword in regards to Alex Cobb and the fact that 2018 Villar was worth no more than the disaster that was 2018 Alex Cobb. $14M versus $2.5M, but yes, worth just the same...

  11. It always feels like when people tailgate, they end up throwing away more than they actually eat/use.

  13. 2 starts a week would probably be 50-60 games which are about what he will probably see if he is used right and Stearns builds a worthy team.
  14. Thinking about the little nerd guy leading off for a contending team makes my stomach uneasy. It's one thing to depend on him for depth and another to go into the season believing he's going to be a great player.
  15. Never seen so much of an attempt to disregard a player that has put together some very good seasons of baseball. This reminds me of when people disagreed with some of your pitchers you wanted and all your ERA stuff, and then you went all nutty about it.
  16. And by 2022 they'll be looking to include a prospect to unload it. Just getting knocked around today I see. It’s okay for Villar to be considered a good player. You’ll survive it. He may not be your cup of tea but the numbers say a different thing.
  17. Very nice to see. Obviously it needs to play out on the field but I have really enjoyed this offseason. Understanding we cannot pay big money to every position really makes you appreciate what Stearns is attempting to do. I hope Stearns continues to shake the doubters of his methods. It's a great time to be a Brewers fan.
  18. I almost forgot how much he loved this guy. I kinda wish a certain poster didn't get a week ban. These last couple of signings have much less drama behind them.
  19. This makes sense. Hopefully, we can get some good luck going this year.
  20. Villar is a modest offensive producer. Comparing him to Shaw and Arcia doesn't make him better. Pointing at 1 of his 2 very good years in the last 4 doesn't change the body of his work to above modest. You're twisting and turning to make a point that was never there. This team could've desperately needed Villar in their lineup last season and it's not even debatable. The runs generated just by having a competent leadoff hitter would've played large in their offensive struggles. It was a huge whiff by our FO and coaching staff to move him when they did and for who they did. They've been chasing their tales at certain positions for awhile. But yes, point to your ONE stat as a reason he wouldn't be valuable to you.
  21. The Brewers do not need anyone who is a modest offensive producer who'll top 150Ks with regular playing time. Modest? The Brewers could’ve desperately used the production Villar had last season and I’m not even sure that’s debatable. Between Shaw and Arcia, there just wasn’t enough.
  22. Your're coming around with Sogard... good to see. Next step is a tough one, though: Sogard> Villar Nice to see DS seeing it my way. This GM has potential! Go Brew! This team needs a Villar. Hopefully Urias will be that.
  23. Would Jordan Lyles or Pomeranz be better for you?
  24. Boy, this site is going full TMZ lately.
