  1. Rendon, Strasburg, and Cole all have deals that put their yearly salary above what the Brewers make from their TV deal. If that doesn’t tell ya something, I don’t know what to say.
  2. Please get Smith. A shot of youth was needed with this team and he could be a big part of that.
  3. I get what you're saying, but at the same time, Cole has earned this contract with his performance. The players percentage of baseball revenue is shrinking by the year while the owners make a ton of money. If we pay for the product the money is there for these guys to make. I don't begrudge these guys these huge contracts. It sucks that a smaller Market team like the Brewers can't afford a guy like this, but it just kind of is what it is. I certainly don't see wishing injury on a guy just because he's getting paid what the market will pay him. He's got a skill that will let him do something that very few people can do. Good for him. I know it is good for the players because they are earning their chunk. I do hate that the top 1% gets the majority of the money though. I would rather see it balanced a bit more than it currently set up. My post was a frustrated Brewers fan that knows that a Cole contract will and should never happen, even if we need pitching badly.
  4. I never root for injuries but when I see these insane deals that the Brewers just cannot compete with and make it, it's hard not to hope these deals absolutely blow up for whoever makes them.
  5. I’d rather take my chances on Burnes.
  6. Super? No. I left it open for the rarity such as this years LSU.
  7. If top teams were forced to play tougher schedules, they wouldn't always finish with 1 loss. Part of the reason the top teams look so loaded is they are rarely tested. The parity is there, it's just not tested as much. Tell that to LSU who has beat Texas, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia this year. The rarity. Congrats to them. Hand them the trophy as they don't need to play anyone else then.
  8. Yeah, I could definitely see him in the mix of names for the Brewers. He had a good year last year too. Wonder what he will be asking?

  10. Again, it is not pointless as in some season, there will be a 8-seed that runs the table. It is like any other seeded tournament. For whatever reason, college football folks say that is it pointless. Fine then. Take away all seeded end of the year tournaments. Let's crown the NFL team with the best regular season record...........
  11. I don't think it should be retired. I think retiring jerseys should be for true organizational greats that spend and extended time as a Brewer.
  12. I think too many write off Braun on this being his last season as a Brewer. He's got a great relationship with the owner and front office. He may be here for the next two years still. A lot can happen in that time.
  13. I bet we were runners up with this one.
  14. I'd rather trade for Felipe Vazquez.
  15. I'd rather sign Felipe Vazquez.
  16. Guerra's age probably didn't help his situation either. He's thrown a lot of innings as an older guy and there are metrics that show he might have had a bit of luck to help even out his numbers a bit.
  17. Then let them get beat in the first round like a 1-4 seed should do. There is no harm in giving a 5-8 seed a shot at knocking off a team in the 1-4 slots. Most years those 1-4 slots have losses of their own on their records so it's not like they are untouchable.
  18. Agree with the 8 teams. You need all power 5’s in and there is always a couple others deserving of an opportunity.
  19. It’s like making the NIT. It’s second tier now. It’s fine and it’s enjoyable to have a game to watch. But it’s pretty meaningless. I’m sure my wife will enjoy watching the parade though.
  20. The 2019 Green Bay Packers have been great at getting ugly W’s.
  21. Can we send Geronimo packing yet?
  22. I was hoping for an SEC opponent to keep my interest a bit. Shoot.
  23. The Packers are holding him under his season average per rush. There coach is just feeding him the ball and he’s still good.
