  1. Sorry ... turned on the game late. He is pretty forevery tonight, though I just hope we can afford the guy after his contract runs out. We might want to see if he will take a team friendly extension
  2. No “RyanBraunForever” posts? Disappointing.
  3. Oh man, this would be fun to beat. And I'm being serious. I would love all four of them to pitch against the Crew and lose. What a moment that will be.
  4. I don't even bother reading anymore. If you feed the animals, they will keep coming back. It could very well have been stopped, several times ago.
  5. Here we go again. Pulling numbers out of his arse.
  6. Per Rosenthal: Pretty great story.
  7. Since it is being dragged in other threads, this might be a good idea. My two cents is that Grandal might have priced himself out of our option year as he is the best hitting catcher in the league. Moose, on the other hand, is good but not great. He probably isn't a top 10 3B in the game so he might take the option year and come back for another year of Miller Park.
  8. Chacin was given a lot of rope. Shaw too. Claudio spent the first half of the year being tossed in against righties.
  9. Long ago I had a thread about trading for Bell when he was younger and up and coming. That time has passed now. If they really don't want Thames back, I'd go get Dominic Smith from the Mets.
  10. I'm pretty spot on other than the bolded areas. Good job self!
  11. I hope they dont hang another wild card flag out there if we go one and done. I was thinking the same the other day. Celebrating making the playoffs is cool, but hanging a banner for a 1 game playoff that you didn't win feels pretty tacky. It sounds moderately better if you at least win the game and lose the NLDS. Agree. They should have to win the one-game for a banner to be hung.
  12. Have you never played competitive baseball? Laugh all you want, but that play is made often, and not just by big leaguers. You gotta stop. You are killing me over here. Trust me, I’m not laughing at the idea that this play can be made at levels not of an MLB player.
  13. Cincy is now 0-3 after losing to the Bills. AJ Green is coming back soon. He would be one to target going forward as a trade candidate. He is an unrestricted free agent at seasons end and shouldn't cost a ton because of that. I would assume he would love to play with one of the games best and a chance to get to the playoffs.
  14. I'd question if you knew how hard it is to make some of these plays. Yes, Arcia will tell you he should make that play and he is talented enough to do so. But it's not easy. MOST professional SS in MLB make that play. I get it, it isn't routine, but he should have had it, and no excuse making will hide that fact. I've made that play myself countless times when I was still playing, it wasn't that hard. The bolded part has me rolling on the floor. Good for you though. Still not a hit. Which is what was questioned.
  15. Well, if this is it for the home portion of the 2019 schedule, the crowd did a great job today. Got nice and loud!
  16. (In my best Adam Sandler impression) Yu blew it!
  17. Hell yes! Now he's a real baseball player.
  18. He’s allowed runs in 1 outing of his last 12.... Worth reading.
  19. Wow. The Cubs man. It's just getting funnier and funnier.
  20. It isnt just the takeaways. It is that they dont turn the ball over. How many have they had this year? 1? Good point. Very good point actually. Rodgers hasn't been selfish when things are not going well and he's lived to play another series. It's paid off for them so far.
  21. HiAndTight, I know you love what you are seeing but who on the offensive side of the ball has you thinking that this offense will be good? Really, Davante Adams and Aaron Jones are really the only things they have going for them. They have ZERO tight ends worth mentioning. Their 2-3-4+ WR's are just guys. I just have a hard time believing this offense is going to be all that good. Maybe they will be a bit more consistent, but top tier? Can't see it.
  22. I really thought Hader turned the corner but he hasn't been good the last couple of outings again.
  23. Yeah, Peralta didn't pitch poorly. Arcia didn't pull his head up or anything. Just missed the ball completely. Odd.
