I don’t have any statistical evidence but it’s felt like he’s been much better offensively and has had some tough luck outs at the plate. I still think it’d be a mistake to not try him again next season we are just entering what would be considered his “prime” years. Edit: BABIP is at .252 for this season which is 40 points lower than career average. K-rate under 20% and his walk % is 3 points higher than career average.

Well, it worked as planned for CC getting Bryant and now only having to get 5 outs from Hader.

The offense is outpacing last years (yes, loaded ball) but the pitching has already given up more runs than last year but yes, it’s the terrible offense that is the problem. Cain, Aguilar, and Shaw having their typical seasons could have helped us out slug our crap pitching for a better record, but it’s still the pitching for why we are struggling in 2019.

I think we just get a 7th rounder for him, not swap 7th rounders.

Perez should have been bunting and BC92 is a straight up bozo that should’ve been dealt with long, long ago.

Coming into the season I thought the 1-7 would be as good as anyone in the league for the Brewers. Cain, Shaw, Aguilar all but ruined that themselves.

Clemson didn’t have an issue doing it with Lawrence and he’s the best QB recruit to come out of high school in probably a decade. Clemson’s also winning Natty’s while the Badgers just came off an 8-win season.

Wait, I thought the Reds were wild card hunting? Now that’s comical. Bauer’s ERA has to be over 8 now for the Reds. Entering Corbin Burnes territory.

Yes, comical. So comical that they are in playoff position and we are scratching the bottom of the barrel of our 40-man just to be able to have enough warm bodies to finish the season.

Coan (2017): Four-star prospect by Rivals … three-star recruit by 247 Sports, ESPN and Scout. Was listed as 247’s 20th ranked pro style QB, 31st overall. Ranked 13th on Rivals for pro style. Mertz (2019): Four-star recruit by 247 Sports, ESPN and Rivals. Is listed as the 247’s 3rd ranked pro style QB, 5th overall. Ranked 2nd on Rivals for pro style. While Coan was a nice recruit, he’s not a Mertz recruit. I don’t like the message it sends to other top recruits. Kids want to play right away these days and not letting a kid as talented as Mertz get after it right away may affect us ever again nabbing a kid of his talent.

Pina’s nice second half is because he wasn’t asked to carry the load this year. He hasn’t worn down and is fresh. Hopefully the Brewers remember that this off season. He’s the best backup catcher in the league and it should stay that way.

Does Hamels have reverse splits or something? Trying to make sense of loading the lineup with lefties but not Thames.......bizarre Well Braun has a career OPS over .800 against him. So I’m not really sure. Edit: Braun has a bad back and Cain a bad knee so that is why they are out Couple vets laying down the season.

Freitas doesn’t have a place to play. How many times do we have to cover this? BC92 has made it a joke and it’s all fun and stuff but there’s a reason he’s not up and they’re named Grandal and Pina which both have been doing just fine vs. LHP.

Well, they have one of the better QB recruits in the nation riding the pines because they couldn’t get him “ready” enough to play. Frustrating to say the least. Could a "not ready" Mertz possibly be worse than what we're seeing from Coan right now? I say sink or swim with the young guy. Not gonna go anywhere with a Junior who can't play. I totally agree with you.
