  1. What? Those are all-stars this season and last. Cain’s offense is really bad. Grandal hasn’t homered in what, almost 2 months, and Moose is the worst RISP hitter on the team. See? This man knows what he’s talking about.
  2. Another inning our second best hitter doesn’t get an AB because they’ve shoved him down in the lineup for turds like Cain, Grandal and Moose.
  3. Molina stinks now but always seems to come up with big hits.
  4. I’m getting to this point also. Even though if they get swept I’ll still get sucked in.
  5. I just don’t know if you want to give up on Arcia in this 25/26 year after all the time we’ve invested in him.
  6. The difference being, Braun is 35 and a year from being done as a Brewer with no where to go. Hiura either this offseason or next could fetch a ton to help us. But carry on with you condescending remarks.
  7. I think I’d take Sano.
  8. Supak won’t be up and shouldn’t be. Depth is only good when it is good depth. You don’t need to use all 40 spots.
  9. Uhhh... no, it is not. He made a trade for a player that has played a huge role in transforming this organization into a competitor. Why in the hell would it not be mentioned anytime some guy pecks away at a keyboard telling us that the minors are bare and dry? You don't get a Yellich without sacrificing your farm. And he did it without giving up Hiura or Grisham, two players that are actually doing something at the major league level unlike the four players we traded away. I guess I feel like judging Stearns should be more nuanced than "Do we have Christian Yelich on our team?", but obviously everyone has different criteria. I don't think one trade defines him though. But you tried to take that trade out of discussing Stearns too. So should Stearns be judged on every other move but his biggest? And beyond that, it is a response to people saying how terrible our farm system is. Well, it is a little barer now BECAUSE we have Yelich. I mean, why is that hard to understand that a player of his caliber costs something? What isn't said by those posters is that what we gave up hasn't amounted to jack squat so while they're hoping to have a higher ranking for our farm, I'll be happy watching Yelich smack dingers in a Brewers uniform.
  10. Justin Smoak: .211/.349/.407/.756 - 103 OPS+ with 19 HR & 53 RBI (433 PA) Eric Thames: .255/.356/.507/.862 - 119 OPS+ with 19 HR & 51 RBI (357 PA) Good none move here.
  11. I would absolutely disagree that 4 out of every 5 trades he made was a "win" or whatever metric you use for his batting average. I'm not condemning him or anything, but he's made a lot of poor moves to go along with a lot of good moves. Yelich isn't his only trade, and it's ridiculous to counter any criticism of the current team/farm with "BUT YELI!!" Uhhh... no, it is not.
  12. Horrible actually. CC can wear that one as much as Stearns. Ran him out of town.
  13. His arm is a wet noodle. Maybe I'm starting to agree that he needs surgery? Either way, it is pathetic. It's not major league quality.
  14. Even though they only scored two runs, they had good at bats all game long. A lot of pitches seen. Tons of full counts. Some hard hit balls at people. Sometimes it’s just baseball I suppose.
  15. Yelich was challenged all AB long. Can’t say he didn’t get pitches to hit.
  16. What happened? Nothing much. He hit one about 370 feet instead of the 375 he needed to get it over the wall. Looked like he got it down on the bat a bit. But he had a nice long profanity as he hit first base when it was caught that Fox Sports liked showing us.
  17. Trade with the Orioles: Orioles Get: Hiura ($75.5) Brewers Get: 2B/SS- Villar ($4), SP- Grayson Rodriguez ($24.5), IF- Ryan Mountcastle ($27.4), C- Chance Sisco ($13.4) TOTALS: Brewers- $75.5 and Orioles- $69.4 -Villar steps in at 2B for the 2020 season as he is a free agent after that. -Mountcastle is our right-handed 1B option that can also play other positions in the IF. Controlled for 6 years. -Sisco is our new LH catcher which allows Pina to play versus RH pitching and he comes cheap. Controlled through 2024. -Grayson Rodriguez is the young, controllable pitching we still need to stack up. He's a top prospect and has done well in his short time as a pro. OR: Trade with Athletics: Athletics Get: Hiura ($75.5) Brewers Get: P-AJ Puk ($39.4), C- Sean Murphy ($34.5), 2B/IF- Jurikson Profar ($2.3) TOTALS: Brewers- $75.5 and Orioles- $76.2 -AJ Puk either get a rotation look or inserted into the bullpen which could pair very nicely with Hader. -Sean Murphy becomes your #1 C and you still have a Pina type to back him up. -Profar becomes your 2B in 2020 and you hope he hits more like 2018 Texas Rangers Profar.
  18. Braun not happy. Neither am I. That shoulda been a dinger.
  19. Black and Pomeranz looked great. Nice to see. Good swing on that ball there Pina!
  20. Well, that settles that. I could steal off of Black.
  21. Devin Williams may be our next Jacob Barnes.
  22. What NL team, other than maybe the Dodgers, are just loaded with both LH and RH options to be able to use in the 5th inning of a ball game?
