  1. We need major league experience. We need Tuffy Gosewich! Nottingham has a 1.400 OPS this year for the Brewers. Have you seen him play?!? I’m sold on him. The Brewers should bring him up and lock him up for the next 8 years. If Stearns doesn’t, he should be fired immediately for someone with the stones to actually try to win a World Series.
  2. Please be Nottingham.
  3. I know Chacin is an easy target this year but please go look at his career compared to Lyles and try again. Do your homework a bit before posting sometimes. It’s got nothing to do with homework. Lyles was really good out of the pen for us after he came over last year. Pitched well for Pittsburgh, then not so well, Stearns wanted him back, see that’s the key for me, because he obviously sees something special in him. Then from the get go, he’s been beyond good. Sorry I’m the only one sold here. Being sold is one thing. Talking out of you ass is another. Unfortunately you do a lot of the second thing and seem to get a kick out of it. Does nothing good for this place.
  4. I don’t get this at all. Grisham has had very sporadic playing time since he’s been up, sitting multiple days in a row, and you’re upset he’s not slashing like his AAA numbers? He’s shown himself capable of big league at bats already, which is all you can really ask from a rookie who’s sitting ~3 Days a week. I believe with regular playing time he would be very productive. Upset? No, not at all. I don’t expect much from a rookie but I also expect us to have an OF in a competitive year perform. That’s all my comment was about since some will do anything to move from Braun even though he’s been pretty great this season.

  6. Yes, because you've randomly tossed out extra years and money to just about anything with an arm or a "good eye" at the plate. All of that adds up at the end of the day. I implore you to look back through all of your posts and see how many ideas you have just flung out there to build a team and see if you can actually make sense of it. I would bet that if you did, and realized all of the things you have posted, you may understand why people question you so frequently around here.
  7. Because if we’re right we get 2 good years from Lyles instead of 1. If he has the kind of year his stuff/command warrants, he’d price himself out of our range the following year. This is how teams like the Orioles and lolMets and Tigers land at the bottoms of their divisions for several years in a row. By being run like video game teams. That was my point. And since he hated Chacin so much, I thought he would have connected the dots because that was pretty much the contract we had with him.
  8. But why give multi-year deals to these guys? It doesn't make sense. You are paying two years for a guy that hasn't proven he can pitch one. Unless it is a team option only, it doesn't make any sense.
  9. How would you feel to see an opening day starting rotation of: 1. Woodruff 2. Anderson 3. Houser 4. Lyles 5. Davies
  10. Right now, with the way Grisham is swinging the bat, we will all be lucky to have Ryan Braun around for another season.
  11. I'm just glad this is the last year of the massive September rosters.
  12. What was their run differential on this date? Anyone know how to figure that to compare?
  13. I think Albers could’ve fetched something low level. Chacin probably not.
  14. Wonder if Brew crew 92 will have any thoughts on Williams for us or if he will just find another pitcher in our minor leagues to tell us about how great they are and how stupid Stearns is for not bringing them up and how if they were up we would be in the playoffs, rinse-repeat........... own something around here, just once.
  15. I think Stearns has done ok. I never would have thought that Burnes and Peralta would flop so bad that they can't even make the MLB roster much less start. I would have thought someone like Jacob Barnes or Taylor Williams could step up in the pen. It just never happened. Yeah, Stearns has to be scratching his head a bit at the performances this season much like we are. There are some guys with some very good talent that just flat out performed like they were pulled out of the stands. Get Burnes mind right and there’s still probably something there. Won’t shock me to see him have a good 2020 season. The injuries to Knebel and Wahl were killers as well. That being said, Stearns has a history of crappy bullpen guys. He just needs to do a better job in that department too. Just because Stearns doesn’t sign flashy names like some want doesn’t mean he didn’t address the pitching though. That’s a false claim if there ever was one.
  16. Grrrrr! Stupid Gute for not getting something for him!
  17. Time to put in the 1982 highlight film and head to bed I guess.
  18. Cain is killing the offense because CC refuses to permanently remove him from the lead off position.
  19. Can you provide the source to that ranking? https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2019/07/29/baseball-america-ranks-brewers-farm-system-dead-last/1859346001/ I haven't seen it ranked higher than 27th. So 27th, 30th, either way it's crap and very likely isn't going to provide us any help any time soon. Never seen a bigger Eeyore.
  20. Can you provide the source to that ranking?
  21. There are lots of good examples of “soft tossers” who are really good starting pitchers.
  22. I almost did too. But if we had shown up, we would be winning I’m sure.
  23. Do you need “heat” to be a good starting pitcher?
