  1. Not going to stock the farm selling those 4 players. Yeah, you’re right. Those players are worthless. Wouldn’t get anyone of promise for them. No contending team could use an all star catcher, third basemen, or a .900 OPS’ing 1B. What was I thinking...
  2. -Sell Moose and bring up Shaw to play 3B. -Sell Thames and let Aguilar play 1B. -Sell Grandal and see what you have in Nottingham. -Sell Chacin, is you can. That should cover it for free agents to be. Stock up the farm again. Tell Moose and Yaz we will talk in the winter when we’ve figured out this mess of a pitching staff.
  3. Don’t forget the Wedding Singer and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
  4. Would getting to arbitration sooner but it lasting longer help? It would allow teams like the Brewers to still control a player but all teams would start to have pay some of these young bucks that are breaking out.
  5. 2016 payroll > 62 2017 payroll > 68 2 years of an extremely low payroll not one. 140+ million in gross profit. Then add the 75-85 million in Gross profit for 2018. So when is the banked $ really gonna be invested in payroll? According to my calculations they lost money those years and MA has went into his piggy bank to keep the team in Milwaukee. See how easy it is to throw crap against the wall?
  6. Brewers have went from a $60ish million payroll to $125ish million payroll since he has said that in 2017... I think you are the one that needs educating. But hey, that’s just an opinion.
  7. Cain Yelich Braun Moose Grandal Thames Hiura Arica Pitcher Get after it! Flip Braun and Grandal.
  8. Ryan Braun slashed .282/.363/.903 combined in the months of August, September and October a season ago and should be counted on doing the same. That line is in line with his career splits during those months. As the summer heats up, so does Braun.
  9. Brewers checked in on Will Smith. Might as well grab Sam Dyson too.
  10. Gio Gonzales is up there for me. Could be a stabilizer.
  11. Saint Paul Saints drew over 8,000 a game a season ago. Same league I believe.
  12. Out by a few games. Sadly, I just don’t think the pitching will hold up well enough to do what they did a season ago. When you look back at that end of the year run, it came down to our pitching staff pitching out of their minds. Hope I’m wrong.
  13. Fixed it for ya. And you leave out the part of all those things listed in your rant about MA is that they help the Brewers stay ahead or on par with many of the top franchises around the league. Without doing those things the Brewers would be the Tampa Rays or Oakland A’s of the MLB. I also like the jab about him growing up a Dodgers fan as to question whether he really even cares about the Brewers. Solid but wouldn’t expect anything less I suppose.
  14. Is that why teams are scoring runs at a record pace? Half of baseball is scoring at a 4.91 clip or higher and 13 teams are at 5 runs a game or more. 2019: 15 2018: 5 2017: 9 2016: 3 2015: 1 2014: 0 2013: 1 2012: 1 2011: 3 2010: 3 Dominating pitching being a problem seems about 5 years too late as an argument. The change in the ball being used has more to do with that than anything. The mlb wanted more runs, they got their wish.
  15. I agree Briggs. Pitching has become some dominant it actually is hurting the game. Seeing a starter who throws 95+ throw 5 innings and then a full pen of guys throwing 95+ seems pretty common these days. Not sure the game was ever meant to be played that way. Not sure what the solution is though, move back the mound a couple feet?
  16. YEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!! It’s been too long. I’m headed to the game tonight to get my fix.
  17. I see him as more of your favorite beer after it's gone skunky. It's been around awhile and won't be nearly as good anymore, but the liquor store is closed and you don't really have other options, so it'll get the job done. Will you just be nice to him.
  18. Braun is like a fine wine...
  19. Coming out of the break we have the rotation of: 1. Chase Anderson 2. Zach Davies 3. Jhoulys Chacin 4. Adrian Houser 5. Brandon Woodruff I would imagine that Woody was put at 5 to somewhat curb the innings. He is just over 100 innings and his previous high is in the 150's. I would also imagine Gio is coming back pretty soon and will bump Houser out of there which will be nice. Hopefully, he can be what he was a year ago to us and help stabilize that rotation.
  20. Trading Hader and Yelich? We get two of the best players at their position and we are trading them off for prospects that have so little of a chance to be what those two are. Incredible.
  21. Might come down to a quantity vs. quality type thing or vice versa depending on what the Mets are looking at doing going forward. If they want a total tear down, they might be looking at multiple lower level guys over valuing 1-2 guys that are doing well at the AAA level.
