  1. Non of my concerns with Houser are based on tonight and tonight alone. I didn’t like the move from the start. Woody Davies Chacin Anderson Burnes Hader Jeffress Guerra Albers Houser Peralta Claudio This is what I’d like to see. But I’ll just take them winning in any fashion.
  2. His usage isn't really all that different this year than Woodruff's from last year. Start season in AAA rotation. Come up to MLB & bounce between pen & rotation. It all worked out okay for Brandon so far, hopefully Adrian follows a similar path, even if it is a little non-linear. The difference for me is that I always saw Woody as a starter and he was really good going through. Houser, not so much. Just thought they found a somewhat reliable long-man that was getting comfortable in his role.
  3. Peralta is young, has a track record of success as a starter going through the minors and has swing and miss stuff. For me, he has big upside still. Houser is who he is. That doesn’t mean he is terrible but he’s not good. He could be a decent BP arm. Wilkerson is another guy that is just an arm. Sometimes I wonder why he’s a 40-man guy. He really isn’t any good.
  4. Just curious. Burnes isn't ready. Peralta is a pen guy. If Houser too is a pen guy. Who starts? Davies, Woodruff, Anderson? Chacin fell apart, Gio is injured, Jimmy is injured, Wilkerson hasn't been given the shot. They started with 10 options. Going 2 for 9 is hard to do. Some may even call it highly unlikely. Chacin isn’t going anywhere. And he looked much better his last start. He’s got a track record of being a guy that can turn it around. I would’ve went back to Peralta in the rotation before Houser. At no point in his minor league career was Houser ever a good starter. It felt like they finally found his niche for us. Woody, Davies, Chacin, Anderson, Peralta would be it for me right now. Heck, I would’ve thrown Burnes back in there before Houser.
  5. It’s really too bad they’re going to jack around Houser. Should be in the pen. Could be a nice piece there. Unfortunately between injuries and underperforming arms, they go this route. Stearns and co are losing a bit of luster for me this year with the decision making going on.
  6. Exactly my point. Way to put it fully on display today.
  7. You can quit the sob story. You’ve brought every bit of this stuff on yourself. Hell, you even admit you make more outlandish statements than anyone. People are going to call you out when you continue to do it. I called you out using actual facts (stats) using one pitcher you’d do just about anything to have and another you’d toss in the garbage for basically nothing. And you scoffed at it. Dismissed it. And added more of your opinion without adding a damn thing to the discussion. So spare me with this crap. Do better and people would leave you alone more. But you won’t. People see through you and your antics.
  8. Stats aren’t opinion.
  9. Not playing Braun in Cincy is pretty dumb but continuing to bat Cain in the top half of the lineup is ridiculous. Accountability for some but not all is the Brewers mantra this season.
  10. Are you comparing Davies to Bauer? I hope not. Davies is ok. Bauer is a Verlander type horse that is able to throw more pitches and pitch deeper into games than any pitcher in baseball, that’s ready to explode this year and next. Of course it’s a comparison. What the hell else would it be? It shows you the production Davies has had during his age 22-26 years versus the guy you’re slobbering over while trying to dump Davies for whatever you can get. Again, “stuff” doesn’t always correlate to being a great pitcher. Labeling guys aces doesn’t mean they actually are. It’d be great if you understood that. You probably wouldn’t get so much crap.
  11. Zach Davies (Age 22-26): 40 total wins / 3.90 ERA / 1.318 WHIP / 110 ERA+ / 4.16 FIP Trevor Bauer (Age 22-26): 46 total wins / 4.49 ERA / 1.439 WHIP / 95 ERA+ / 4.625 FIP You are vastly ignoring Davies and the solid work he has put in for the Brewers because you are not wowed by his stuff. It is not a great way to judge a pitcher. A lot of guys have great stuff but can they actually use it?
  12. Easily a strong 3. Have you seen both of his FBs? His CB? His Slider? He’s arguably a potential #2. So yeah, a strong 3. You know who is better? Zach Davies.
  13. Lol, Houser a 3? Oh my. Come on man. Please just be realistic.
  14. This isn’t a video game. And even at that, these trade scenarios are not good. If you want Bauer, then trade for Bauer. Sell out and get him. But you don’t trade off your most valuable pitcher that would be needed in the playoffs anyways.
  15. Might be time for Thames to lead off again. Thames- 1B Yelich- RF Grandal- C Braun- LF Moose- 3B Hiura- 2B Gamel- CF Arcia- SS Pitcher
  16. The Brewers win to push back into first place and this is the discussion? My god people. Ridiculous.
  17. I can tell you were hurt by this move. Hernan grew on me as well. He still showed up at his autograph signing in Saukville a day after being let go. He’s just a good guy. It doesn’t help knowing they dropped him for Saladino who stinks as well. If it was Dubon, I think I would’ve understood it.
  18. Counsell and his ax to grind with Arcia is growing tiresome. If they really are going to bench Arica then it should have been Dubon up playing. Ridiculous.
  19. For what? Who's "buying" Shaw now? You're taking a guy who's been a stud, but through 81 games has been beyond awful. This is the absolute definition of selling low. Never know what other GMs think of a player. Some may see through the 81 game struggle especially if he starts hitting in AAA.
  20. If you don’t see the difference between those players I don’t know what to tell ya.
