  1. Burnes Nelson Peralta (as a starter) Chacin have been problematic. You got to find something that sticks. Low 4 era sticks. Wilkerson has been a starter forever. He has always struggled in relief and always been good as a starter. He's absolutely a AAAA guy. He's not going to set the world on fire. However, he could be a Fiers. I just don’t see it. Guy doesn’t even look like he belongs on the 40-man to me.
  2. Sorry but a rotation of Wilkerson and Houser means we are fighting for 3rd and selling off.
  3. Wilkerson is trash so hopefully Chacín figures it out.
  4. Hate Braun not playing. Been swinging it well lately and well, Cain, has not.
  5. Was coming to post this. Feel for the guy.
  6. Just put Burnes in the rotation.
  7. Funny but that's what I do when I get yelled at for saying something right and it proves itself right. You can find an example of that in the MiLB forum where I said pump the breaks on a prospect then got yelled at for being stupid. I enjoy your insight. Was just having some fun with ya.
  8. I reeeeaaaalllly thought the last quote would be the true indicator of what that post was.
  9. adambr2, what do you have to say about this? I strongly suggest avoiding making up quotes like this. At the very least you need to let people know you are doing it or put it in blue. It was all in fun, trying to lighten it up a bit around here. Lots of tighty whities in wads lately. But yes, ALL of those quotes are in [sarcasm]blue.[/sarcasm]
  10. Now we are going to the other extreme. I doubt anyone would complain about Stearns trying to fix holes on our roster. I really, really doubt anyone has. People are just saying that this hole, while important, isn't the main concern of this team and most likely won't be the difference between this team starting to win series again. Pitching will be. And I'm simply saying that swapping out an horribly under performing bat for one that has the ability to be a top producing one could have a compound effect in helping the pitchers to perform better. That's far from extreme. It's a team game and all parts have impact on the others. There are no guarantees. If the Brewers top prospect by far was a pitcher then everyone would have been clamoring for that player to be brought up. But just because the top prospect wasn't a pitcher it doesn't mean people should be ok with him being in the minors while the team stumbled. The Brewers didn't get blown out in all those losses. He very well might have helped them win a few games with his bat. Possibly. And I'm not saying your wrong I just think you are mis-labeling a lot. If Keston was being held down because some Joe-schmoe was manning 2B you might have everyone on your side. But they were doing their due diligence with a good player for us. They allowed him a half of a season. If they felt as though that was long enough to get right, then great, bring on Hiura and hope for the best. Some of this other stuff is complete nonsense to me. (not referring to you in that last statement, just overall with a lot of the fan base)
  11. WHAT YOU SEE BELOW IS ALL SARCASM AND A JOKE. THEY ARE NOT A REFLECTION OF THE ACTUAL POSTERS THEMSELVES. Carry on... adambr2, what do you have to say about this?

  13. With ya on this. Until I see some consistency out of our pitching staff, it’s hard to get too jacked up for this team.
  14. You can be both. This isn’t about Shaw>Hiura. I was strongly against throwing Shaw away like he’s trash. I am usually in the camp of the longer leash and I’m glad our front office is too. Patience is a huge plus for me with Stearns. It’s paid off several times over already in his short time as our GM. Shaw didn’t do anything with his chances and that stinks for the Brewers but I’m glad they have him as many opportunities as they did. It’s the smart way to go about these situations and my mind won’t change on that. Call it defending the front office or just how I see it. But yes, I am happy Hiura is up and going to get his shot. Been a big fan of his bat. How could you not? We will see on his defense. It wasn’t good the first go around but hey, those are just facts.
  15. Grandal- C Yelich- RF Braun- LF Moose- 3B Hiura- 2B Thames- 1B / Aguilar vs. LHP Gamel- CF / Cain vs. LHP (won’t happen but should) Pitcher Arcia- SS
  16. You're talking about a rookie with the same prospect pedigree of a Kris Bryant, Ronald Acuna, Cody Bellinger, etc. If Hiura was a Yankee or a Cub, he'd have been a top 5 prospect for months...the primary reason he isn't is we're small market and his mediocre defense. His bat grades out right up there with those guys when they were prospects, maybe even better. I'd consider it an overreaction if people were acting this way about us not calling up Freitas over Pina to be backup catcher. Swapping Shaw and Hiura makes the team so much better, especially considering Hiura is probably more likely than not to be a star. Hiura should be in the top 5 of the lineup tonight and every night until/unless he cools off. Those guys are better athletes and overall players. I’ve been singing the same tune as you have about his bat for a long time here. He’s a our next Braun-like bat to come through. He will most likely hit. Hopefully his defense will be passable enough to not hurt our pitching staff because they need all the help they can get right now. Either way the baby tantrums by Brewers fans wore on me. I probably shouldn’t let it bother me but it annoyed me too much. Glad the kid is up and getting his shot. Hopefully he makes the most of it and we begin turning around our play.
  17. Man, you love to play these cards don’t you? I said it’s a good lesson for all of us, not just you.
  18. It's not a dig, it's showing the truth. With Yamamoto doing well with Miami, he's on here telling everyone how he proclaimed Yamamoto was the piece that terrified him at the thought of losing when the Yelich trade was made. He said nothing of the sort. In general, everyone here should rest comfortably that the trade was a slam dunk, home run. Even if all 4 Marlins end up contributing as major leaguers, we don't need people being revisionist about the deal. The Brewers got more than they possibly could have asked for. Well then, how many of us, including me for sure, would want harmless, innocuous statements that we’ve made, researched thru the archives, and thrown back in our face. I know I don’t. I’ve always found TJs posts to be extremely interesting and thoughtful, just like yours TBBC. I cringed reading that, thinking of all the stupid things I said. Then maybe think before you post? It’s a good lesson for any of us.
  19. This nails it. I like Keston, too, but he's one guy, a rookie. He isn't going to suddenly turn this team into the '27 Yankees. Good little player, and has all the tools to eventually be a star. Eventually. Yep. A lot of Brewer fans have been insufferable over this situation. They’ll probably be the first to turn on the kid if he struggles or is a butcher at 2B.
  20. Are you benching Arcia or Hiura both of whom are younger than Dubon making your let the kids play sentence weird. Enough AB’s for them all.
  21. A guy like Saladino should be happy he’s on a 40-man roster with a possible September call up.
