  1. Arcia batting over .320 over the last month. Just throwing that out there.
  2. What happens if they both make the playoffs? [sarcasm]Who, Reds and Cubs?[/sarcasm]
  3. The guy at 3B thought there was 3 outs and ran to the dugout. Yet they allowed him to go back to 3B.
  4. Simple fix after the game. Ship Guerra and Lyles away for fresh arms. They both stink.
  5. You really gotta stop acting like Davies is a terrible pitcher. I know you hate him but his entire body of work says otherwise. Getting awfully silly. What Zack Davies have you been watching this year? Who? Haven’t seen him pitch.
  6. You really gotta stop acting like Davies is a terrible pitcher. I know you hate him but his entire body of work says otherwise. Getting awfully silly. He was terrible to start the year, has been injured most of the year, and is just coming back. It’s not a very promising addition. But thanks for the feedback. You’re welcome.

  8. He wouldn't be facing brewer pitching anymore, so what's the point? This team just got shut down for 4 games at Wrigley in late august So they were due.
  9. Thames hasn't deserved to start recently. He's been terrible at the plate and since they seem bought in on Aguilar, he provides no defensive value in the OF.
  10. Are we really putting Davies in the rotation because he shutout a bad single A team and did pretty good against a bad hitting AA team (and was terrible before those two outings). Not only can I imagine them not putting him in the MLB rotation, I would wish that doesn't happen. Get him up in September, and then give him some low leverage spots to earn more innings and more important spots. I am fine with him having a clean slate and a good position to be a starter next year, but this year it is just too late to give away games seeing what he has. I'll trust Johnson, Counsell, and Stearns to judge that one. They will know if he's worth of a starting spot (and good chance he is).
  11. I get being frustrated that the Cubs were able to add to their roster with Murphy but the Brewers can't make moves that handcuff themselves either. Sometimes it just is what it is.
  12. It really doesn't bother me that the Cubs are playing the way they are. What stinks is that the Cardinals somehow found life in their season and look to be a real contender and not going away anytime soon. That is a bummer because it always feels like the Crew can't catch a break with that stuff. But it is what it is and it'll be great to hopefully knock out the Cards in a one game playoff and then go after those Cubbies.
  13. Domingo is going to have some bit hits for us come September and October. It is going to be fun!
  14. Well, this very well could be Guerra's last start this season, especially if he doesn't do well. With Davies finally settling in down in the minors, I can't imagine them not sliding him into our rotation. Gotta either be Guerra or Peralta. Right now I have more faith in Peralta.
  15. You don't hate the move but call him a scrub? Interesting. We moved a guy we did not need for a guy that should help our depth whether we obtain Mack or not. I'd say that is good GM work on the part of Gutekunst.
  16. This is the time of the year, each year, that I remember the genius idea of Doug Melvin to only allow so many to be active for September games. Cannot stand that teams get to play 40 players each night. Not only does it make the games painfully long, it just changes the games too much. Let them activate 30 a night and play ball. This changes playoff races each and every year.
  17. If we draft well enough, extensions like this don't need to happen. Continue to churn out replacements and we will never have to overpay for an aging player again.
  18. I've been on it lately. Aguilar is flat out lazy. He doesn't run hard anywhere. How can you tell? He is no speed demon... There’s a difference between being slower and just not hustling. Attend a game. Watch him. It’s very easy to spot. Shaw isn’t much better.
  19. So why haven’t the Packers made a move for Mack yet?
  20. I would like to see Aguilar dropped in our order and maybe even see less playing time. (2nd half line: .229/.333/.404/.737) It would be nice to see Shaw get a few games over there with Schoop and Arcia up the middle and Moustakas at 3B. This defensively is about as good as it gets for us. Then you have Thames, Aguilar, and Santana(9/1) coming off the bench as our big boppers. Cain Yelich Braun Shaw Moustakas Schoop Pina/Kratz Arcia
  21. I've been on it lately. Aguilar is flat out lazy. He doesn't run hard anywhere. So, a team full of "try hard," Nate Orf types is your preference? Good luck with that. As if this is the only type of player that runs hard. I see Braun and Cain do it nightly and they're "old" for this game. Aguilar's lack of hustle is incredible for a guy that's barely made it to the show.
