  1. Probably didn’t help being jacked around. Yes, it could be one of the factors. Dismissing that seems odd.
  2. You keep saying that. What prospect are you talking about??? Villar started at 2B in 2017, stared 2B in 2018. What prospect bumped him from 2B in the past? Sogard? Orland Arcia bumped him.
  3. Someone show me where I said a lack of opportunity for Villar? They jacked him around for no reason other than to rush a prospect (that wasn’t/isn’t ready). The fan base has been an absolute joke towards him, probably doesn’t help a player either. Changing positions can be hard on guys too. And confidence can be shot in any athlete. We are all human, even pro athletes. I’m just hoping he gets a shot elsewhere for his sake.
  4. Scooter had 542 his last year with the Brewers. segura had more than that in each of his 3 full seasons with them. They’d be evidence of change of scenery, not just let play even if they’re not good Change of scenery is a bit part of what I was referring to. After a great 2016 season the Brewers jacked around Villar for an unproven prospect who didn’t belong getting a call up (being more proven this year). Confidence is a huge part of these guys success and the Brewers squashed that with Villar. I’m hoping for a fresh start with a different fan base, coaching staff and front office for Villar.
  5. Shaw getting reps at 2B, opening the door for Solarte at 3B and Happ to top the rotation.
  6. We shall see when he gets to a new organization. He’s also had almost 700 plate appearances while playing poorly the last 2 years. Opportunity to play isn’t the issue either Tell that to Segura and Gennett.
  7. Babying? He’s been well below average the last 2 years. Maybe he just shouldn’t play a lot because he isn’t very good We shall see when he gets to a new organization.
  8. Babying Villar has to end. Some team will let the reigns off and he will shine.
  9. announcers keep saying he is 300 lbs. He runs good for being so big. But yea, he will prolly get another day off rest now. We have plenty of minor leaguers on the team that can fill in. I wouldn’t be shocked to see 330ish on the scale from him. He’s a big dude.
  10. I would be okay with bringing them both up. New, young blood behind the dish. Maybe they’d actually perform too. That’d be neat.
  11. It’s too bad Sogard has been such trash to give Orf an opportunity.
  12. Broxton never was the answer. I am hoping he hits enough for someone to trade for him though.
  13. You want Santana and his electric .273 average in AAA, along with no power, back up? Leave him there until he discovers his power stroke again. He's utterly worthless without it. I do. He’s already got a double and triple in a 22 at bats so it’s not like there’s no power display. He will be fine. We need offense and I’d be calling on him to help.
  14. Okay, good enough. But for the record, so far Miller would be making that bottom of the order better if he wasn’t leading off due to the injuries to Cain and Yelich. Give it time. And I do agree that we need Arcia to figure it out because he’s the answer to SS.
  15. Sustained success. That’s what I’ve wanted to see. I don’t think trading away all this talent brings sustained success. It might open up a window for a year or two but then we will be right back to where we usually are and I don’t want to see that.
  16. What has he said that he hasn’t come through with yet?
  17. Buddy, not that I need it but this discussion was won a long time ago when you want to put Sogard up with the rest of these players. Okay I gotta know. Rank em... rank the middle IF candidates from best to worst THIS SEASON on the 40 man roster. (Perez, Sogard, Villar, Saladino, Arcia, Miller)
  18. They said strong chance at DL so I did include him.
