  1. To add on, I actually think the vibe around the boards have been pretty great lately. Winning does wonders?!?
  2. I don’t understand how you can give a hit on that but then give an error on the throw. Makes no sense.
  3. In that last at bat for Shaw he saw blood in the water and tried to hit one to the moon lol.
  4. I'm putting the horse way before the cart here because Choi hasn't proven he belongs yet. But I was thinking more like roster accounting tricks than any one particular guy. Williams goes down for 10 days every so often, Barnes goes down for 10 every so often. Suter could go down anytime. 5th starters could go down when they won't be needed. Braun will probably hit the DL every 1-2 months. Stuff like that while over the course of the season basically affords you another roster spot. Okay, I can see that plan. Wasn’t thinking that direction. Makes sense if you can finagle it.
  5. Problem is I can’t see anyone else leaving at this point. We'll see. A few months ago we thought there was no way they had room for Aguilar (I was one of those people anyway) and now he's pretty much considered totally safe. They've done well to find room for guys who deserve to be here. Maybe they can get creative enough to find room for one more if he can prove he deserves to be here too. Who goes? Saladino I guess could be one. Perez is a cat with nine lives. Maybe go short a reliever? I don’t know. Heck, maybe Aguilar since he’s trending backwards through the month of May.
  6. Problem is I can’t see anyone else leaving at this point.
  7. Baseball is a funny game. Thatta boy Choi! Happy birthday.
  8. So who is the Vice President of the Braun fan club? His mom.
  9. Wow is their team absolute trash. Woof.
  10. It is too bad Broxton is hitting so crummy or this actually makes a bit of sense for them.
  11. Can't believe I forgot Guerra. He's one of my favs too. TGIF. Suter is perfectly fine on this team if he's out of the pen in a long man situation. He does a great job filling in for injuries. I just don't want him taking a spot from another starting pitcher that has more upside or is just better.
  12. With the new stadium, did prices of tickets go up a lot? I am moving to the Milwaukee area starting this summer. Never been to an NBA game before (hockey guy) but I do root on our Bucks because well, I want any Wisconsin team to win.
  13. It was a hard earned glory typing all that just to plug him in at 40. But seriously, even if he was as good as Cain he would probably be 40, just the way it goes with the contract size. If he has an amazing career renaissance to AS form and gets dealt I'll gladly point it out. Cain will probably replace Braun here in 3 years. I love Cain, and even like his contract but the writing is on the wall with his age and deal. The plus side is they'll never have to worry about his 10/5 kicking in. I agree with your placement and reasoning. Just wanted to give you a little ribbing.
  14. Hopefully, it will when Anderson/Davies come back. Anderson Davies Chacin Woodruff Peralta Looks perfectly fine to me. But it is wishful thinking I'm sure.
  15. I feel like this was made just so you could put Braun last.
  16. Not terrible, but Santana should not be hitting 3rd right now. Cain, Yelich, Shaw, Aguilar are your options at the 3 spot. I would go Cain, Yelich, Aguilar, Shaw, Santana, Choi, Pina, Arcia, Villar...against a lefty you could switch Perez and Choi, and maybe get Saladino in there for Villar or Arcia. Not quite sure on why so many are down on Santana's bat right now. Here are the past 28-day split: Domingo Santana- .303/362/.467/.829 Shaw: .205/.279/.538/.818 Aguilar: .262/.333/.459/.792 Cain: .253/.372/.405/.777 Yelich: .261/.303/.402/.705
  17. Aguilar should be moved down. Especially against RHP
  18. I agree. Just seems so much more likely that a guy in his prime like Aguilar or Choi will have a career year than it is that Braun will turn back the clock. It's such a drag seeing him in the 3 hole and not knowing if he's going to be able to play even if he's not on the DL. Really looking forward to the end of the whole era of counting on washed-up players when younger guys really deserve that opportunity. There will almost always be players on the Brewers that fit this bill. Cain is next in line for that and I'm sure a pitcher will be signed eventually that will fit it as well.
  19. The lineup should be mixed up a bit but I won't hold my breath. vs. LHP: 1. Cain- CF 2. Yelich- LF 3. Santana- DH 4. Shaw- 3B 5. Aguilar- 1B 6. Perez- RF 7. Villar- 2B / Perez- 2B 8. Pina- C 9. Arcia- SS vs. RHP: 1. Villar- 2B 2. Yelich- LF 3. Cain- CF 4. Shaw- 3B 5. Santana- RF 6. Choi- DH 7. Aguilar- 1B 8. Pina- C 9. Arcia- SS
  20. Ugh. I mean, everyone pretty much knew it was coming, but still, ugh. While there are no guarantees it would have ended any differently, there is a possibility that the team's mishandling of Braun and the 10-day DL could very well have cost them the game on Tuesday. There was no way Bandy should have ever been used as a pinch hitter, but he was forced into that role during Braun's latest "day-to-day" episode. Braun has never been a fast healer, so I think this was pretty clear roster mismanagement that proved costly. I’m really okay with giving a guy a few days before DL time. Had it continued into this weekend then I would agree. Three games really isn’t that much considering it was reported that he was taking BP and such. Just not sure it was a clear cut DL. Feels like we are really grasping at straws to blame Counsell for losses.
  21. Is there anything to this and him not going to DL or just making a joke? CBS doesn't mention anything, still says DL likely [sarcasm]Source BrewersWorld and HighHeat19[/sarcasm] My sources were wrong. Braun to the 10-day DL with a corresponding move happening tomorrow.
  22. Well right now he's seen Pina and Villar come out of their slumber and their new addition in Saldino look like Cal Ripken Jr. so there is a pretty good chance he rides it out a bit longer. Even though I still say we should target Raffy Lopez to get a lefty bat to pair with Pina.
