  1. I’m good with the change. Pitch count was low but they were starting to get on him.
  2. Never said it’s not allowed. My opinion is that it is laughable to judge this team right now. Is that not allowed? I’m not bothered by anything you have said, just pointing out how I think it’s foolish to say out loud some of what you are before anything is settled roster wise or a brand new coach gets a crack at running the defense.
  3. The defense won't even be the same players up and down. Nor the same coaching staff. So yes, pretending to have "insight" on what this defense will or won't be is pretty laughable to me.
  4. What a petty, immature post. I have been wrong about many things and have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. Because I've among many others pointed out that the 2016 deal for Braun would have been a good deal for us, in Braun related threads, that's the same? I said in the first line that the depth was a fantastic thing to have, just that it was mostly circumstantial that we've needed it so much because the injury bug has been especially bad. Nothing more. I wasn't calling out anyone specifically at all as you just did to me. And please don't tell me what to 'ignore' anymore, I am not a child. Guess I should've put one of these ( ) in there because I really wasn't intending it to be a jerk to you, more so having fun with you since you constantly bring it up and it is "see, see" comment. It really isn't a big deal, at all, since we all do it when we think we are right about something. No need for the ruffled feathers fella... cheers.
  5. We better be prepared because just in the last week alone, we might be using our season's quota. Things usually even themselves out.
  6. I never get it either because being negative about something doesn't always make you a "realist".
  7. Says the man who calls out being "right" about trading Braun anytime he has a slump or hits the DL. Just friggin ignore it. I sure as heck am glad we have the depth. It has paid off in more ways than one so far this year.
  8. Yeah because it's totally unrealistic to think that a defensive coordinator in his first year with a roster that's 90% inherited won't save the day overnight. I'm out of the conversation where people can't honestly assess the teams shortcomings. People have always been the worst at this when it comes to the Packers. They haven't played good defense for YEARS. Is it more reasonable to think the defense is going to be good or that it most likely won't be great? I'll let a few games play itself out before I make any judgement on a new coach, with a new scheme. You don't think that there could be a lot of talent that wasn't being used properly? Or that a lack of quality communication or miscommunication led to a lot of the errors on defense? There are plenty of factors for why defense has been a weak spot for the Packers as of late other than just thinking they are all lousy players and have no chance at being good. It is pretty foolish thinking. And that is not being a homer, that is a realistic approach to judging the pro athletes. They can succeed and fail in many different systems. Maybe Pettine will have the appropriate one for their set of players, maybe he wont, but only time will tell. Not some grumpy, glass half full, poster.
  9. Chacin has his ERA under 4. What a terrible pitcher.
  10. Calling this years defense terrible before our new coordinator even gets a chance to coach em up is where I'm out on this conversation.
  11. This was good and so, so accurate. One will be my brother. Love him, but one will be him.
  12. Was back yesterday to a tune of 0-4. Needs to start hitting or we need to upgrade or go a different direction. Why? He's only had 36 AB's this season and is excellent behind the plate. If he doesn't hit, we'll need someone there that does, that's why. I'm not sold on Pina being an everyday starter.
  13. Go look at the 2005 roster and you’ll see why it was 4-12. This roster isn’t anywhere near that.
  14. A total rebuild is so silly, sorry, but silly. You don’t rebuild with Rodgers.
  15. Was back yesterday to a tune of 0-4. Needs to start hitting or we need to upgrade or go a different direction.
  16. How can a guy with a career OBP of .299 be one of the best 2Bs in the game? No thanks. Villar for the win.
  17. Whatever. Thames will still hit 30 bombs.
  18. I don't care what name is on the opponents chest. Just keep winning. #AllWinsMatter
  19. I don't think it can be said enough about the importance of this draft. It can either set the Packers up for another nice run in the later parts of Rodgers career OR it can set the wheels in motion for a lot of other things to happen with this franchise. Pressure is on in Green Bay, not that it hasn't been for awhile.
  20. Isn't this common in just about every profession? Yes but that wouldnt be honest if I said thats the only reason why jj did what he did. People dont seem to realize what free agency in 2018 would have looked like for jj. Mil gave him a chance to make the most money AND stay home. It isnt perfect but jj is thrilled and really I did my job. His wish list was to max out $ while trying to stay in Mil ultimately he made final call. I support him I'm not trying to cherry pick but I am curious to know if you've ever seen or been a part of a "perfect" deal for a player and/or the club?
  21. Will probably mean we'll see more of Braun at 1B, and possibly the return of Choi. Neither are ideal, considering how hot Thames has been. Hopefully it's nothing too serious, but Counsell didn't seem overly optimistic last night. Choi hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire so it’ll be interesting to see who the call up is.
