  1. Not going to be much of a logjam if that MRI comes back with bad news today in Thames.
  2. Made sense to have Jennings face the lefty. By the way, that was a heck of a play from deep short by Shaw.
  3. Santana is reminding everyone how hard it is to be consistently good in the MLB. It’s a hard game. Hopefully he will figure it out.
  4. Villar having a nice night. Probably trying to do anything not be benched in favor of Sogard anymore.
  5. Isn't this common in just about every profession?
  6. It'll be really interesting to see if Braun can get to 20 stolen bases again. Already at 3 this season. It is a good sign if he is running.
  7. The way it’s been going for Braun I’m shocked that it didn’t ricochete to the first basemen.
  8. You just knew that Counsell would find any way to play Sogard as much as he could. It is what it is at this point and until Villar and Arcia start swinging it more consistently, he has all the ammo he needs to pencil in that .500 OPS into the lineup. Veteran grit at its finest.
  9. I really wish the draft was just Saturday and Sunday. I hate the new format.
  10. Not every depth piece HAS to be traded. It is nice to have Broxton in case of emergency as we know that he can come up and help the team. If he spends the year in AAA and is never used, perfectly fine with me because it means things went well for us on the big league club. Back on to Lowrie... it will be interesting to see his stats in a few months. They scream a hot start and his career numbers say that he will come back to earth.
  11. Holy hell. This is the one thread dedicated for it. It’s all in fun and a change from just about every other thread. Like, the Brewers may never lose again!
  12. Don’t have a link for video to share but Carlos Gomes walk off. Oh my...
  13. Don't worry, Oliver Drake is also putting you to shame. Jeffress also.
  14. Say whaaaa? Man is Jeffress just awesome right now. Barnes - Hader - Albers to close the door today?
  15. Wheels fell off for Guerra. Looked to be another nice start from him.
  16. I feel as though it shouldn't have been a catch because he didn't lose it bringing it out of his glove on the replay.
  17. Yelich still owes us a couple more since Brinson hit so many.
  18. Range and arm are just blah with Sogard. He does make the routine plays though.
  19. I just don't understand all of the Sogard hate. He was a .393 obp guy with good defense in 299 PA last year. That's a 1.9 bWAR player in half a full seasons worth of PAs. And I'm not trying to single out you, it seems to be a lot of people around here. I'm willing to give him some more time. I definitely don't hate the man. He seems like a good clubhouse guy that works hard. But the writing was on the wall with this guy. His hot month during mid-season last year fooled some into thinking he was a good player or even a passable one. He should have never received the contract that he did (kudos to his agent). It wouldn't shock me to see this guy in the low .600's for an OPS and the low .300's for an OBP. My other issue is that as long as Counsell has this guy, he will be overplayed.
  20. I hate to say it but I hope either Sogard gets hot and start producing well or he flat out sucks so they cut bait and move on from him so we stop forcing him into the lineup. Personally I think it will the latter that occurs.
  21. It won’t last forever and I’m sure we will all moan and complain when/if they give up runs today but they haven’t allowed a run in 17 2/3’s inning. Very impressive.
