  1. lol Hader... just continues to impress. Kind of hoping to see Barnes, and not Albers in the 9th.
  2. No! Didn't you know that Stearns was hosed on that deal? I mean, Davis has hit a lot of dingers the last couple years! It must be because Stearns is young and inexperienced. Here's to hoping Derby finds his way to the big leagues at some point as well.
  3. Nothing would make me more happy to see Nottingham become a stud catcher for us just because of the trade that it occurred in.
  4. Tack on Brewers... tack on. Braun should've had a hit last night so 2 for his last 4 have been good at-bats. Hopefully, he is coming out of it too. We need these guys to heat up already.
  5. Yeah, your 33-year-old 6th-7th starter should not be on a pitch count. The way he's pitching, he will reclaim his ace status in no time.
  6. A team slump is an understatement. Way too much talent to be doing what they're doing. Look from all accounts Coles is a good dude. But this is overdue and none of this is knee jerk. Going back to last July, if we haven't been the worst offense in baseball since then, we've got to be bottom 5. People said it's just a slump. It never ended. Since Coles took over this offense has been 22nd, 25th, and 20th in runs scored in baseball. It's not acceptable. We were not supposed to have to worry about the offense this year and yet -- same same. I don't know everything he does, but it's obvious that whatever he's doing isn't working. Yeah, I'm not sure how long they're willing to wait but it has been a good chunk of last season and now to begin this one. It might be time for him to lose his job to kickstart these guys.
  7. A team slump is an understatement. Way too much talent to be doing what they're doing.
  8. Don’t count out Nick Ramirez who just moved from AA to AAA. All he’s done since switching to the mound is get people out.
  9. Villar should be playing tonight and just about every night. Enough of Sogard.
  10. While I agree, the fact that Lopez walks so many doesn't make me question this move as much. Drake has a 8.0 BB/9 going right now.
  11. Of course Lopez goes but not Drake.
  12. I think it's time to pull the trigger on making Counsell a player-coach. Then we can at least replace Sogard. I swear Counsell would be about the same player still.
  13. I am kind of hoping Vogt just doesn't make it back. I think I'd rather us get a good look at Nottingham. Maybe he can do well enough to even put Pina in the lesser role. It would be amazing to have a young catcher grow with the crop of pitchers that are on the way.
  14. I am still good with moving on from Maldonado. Defensively he was fine but provided very little with the bat. Jett has shown flashes with the bat and seems to have improved defensively. He is three years younger than Maldonado and there is still room for improvement. He can be a serviceable backup.
  15. Now I agree.
  16. This is where I am at with it. I would love Realmuto in our lineup and watch him catch but we just can't be giving up what it would take to get him right now (or maybe ever).
  17. Blood pressure rose just reading that.
  18. What's keeping them from removing Chacin from the rotation? He's been demonstrably worse than Suter, and his slider profiles well in a bullpen role. Personally, I like Suter in the rotation better than Chacin. At least Suter has look competent at times this year. All Chacin has done is throw a ton of pitches and benefit from some quick hooks before getting shelled. Not saying I disagree with you but its doubtful that they pull the plug on Chacin as a starter this soon into the season after paying them a decent chunk to be in our rotation. It is just not how things usually work at that level. That is why Suter, even though he hasn't been terrible, is probably the odd man out and could help extend our bullpen.
  19. Night Court, Cheers, Married with Children. Three shows I would watch with my dad at a pretty young age. Memories...
  20. It gets me every time lol! Many pizza places, depending on the grease, put me on the toilet. Doesn't mean I won't keep eating some of those delicious pies.
  21. Suter might not be the problem but if Woodruff can even repeat Suter's performance in the rotation and Suter can help the bullpen, it is a win-win. To be honest, I'm not sure why they keep forcing Suter to be a starter anyways. He was so good at the end of the year as a swingman/spot starter.
  22. Part of me was glad to see Braun robbed of a hit. Get your rear end in the lineup already.
  23. Krod is still out there I believe.
