That isn't true. I think they signed him to be a 4/5, the top 3 in this rotation are pretty clear When Nelson is there. They signed him hoping to get a slightly above 4 ERA guy who pitches 6 innings on a good night and gives the team a shot to win if they score 5 runs. Yep. Completely agree. Just because he pencils in as our "#3 guy" right now does not mean that is what he was signed for. He was a back end of the rotation piece that was supposed to be better than the collection of turds we had in those spots a year ago. I believe he still will be this guy throughout the course of his time as a Brewer.

How many Mental Mistakes before Counsell gets Fired?
pacopete4 replied to 3and2Fastball's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
However, we are leading the majors in fielding errors and Boston had zero before last nights games. It's baseball. It will most likely even itself out. -
I’m just wonder who will not play well tonight so I can get busy on creating a thread for tomorrow.

“Golden boy” ....

Gonna be a cold one again tomorrow. Plus, you have a terrific defensive CF that will likely be sent down Wednesday for a pitcher. I hope Cain doesn't get off the bench. He's been durable so far, but I think it's best to sit him. Would make sense to keep him longer and send down a pitcher since we have an off day Thursday.

Villar- 2B Thames- 1B Braun- LF Shaw- 3B Santana- RF Sogard- SS Pina- C Phillips- CF Is what I’m expecting tomorrow.
-
You’ll probably get it in about 10 minutes when you want to break your tv.
-
Perez is playing LF. Already in the game.
-
You knew that count was not going full.

Selfish swing. Tried yanking one with two strikes. Selfish.
-
Heck yes. Heeeeeeeck yes!!!
-
Damn this catcher. Let one by already.
-
Lean into one.
-
No Cain, no Braun, and obviously no Yelich for extras.

Here. We. Go. Again.

Suter our there explaining the injury. Harvard nerd!

Uh oh... Good thing we have outfield depth.

Well, I’ll be waiting for the Sogard-Villar up the middle duo tomorrow now.

....as Hader K’s the side.

Yep, stumbled rounding the bag. Instead of compounding it, he stayed put. Is what it is. I’m sure the peanut gallery will have a field day with it though.

There was a time I would have loved to see Sedar take a chance. Villar was already rounding third as Ozuna got to the ball on Braun’s single. Lefty-lefty matchup waiting for Shaw, let Villar get after it. Edit: Sedar may have been sending him. Villar a stumble around third.

Ozuna had a really nice at bat there.

We should probably ask TomH to ask Stearns.
