I really don't see an issue with them grabbing Bradford. They will most likely draft a QB and this allows them not to toss that QB in the fire right away. They will hope for some good health and if they do, they'll have a pretty good QB. If it doesn't work out, it's a 1-year deal and they flush it for the next season.

Bears are going to land Trey Burton and Allen Robinson. Those look like pretty good pickups for that up and coming QB they have.

Vogt and Sogard were bad decisions by Stearns. Could have had these guys for peanuts on contracts that were not guaranteed at all. After seeing how the market played out, this was just wasteful spending on guys they were comfortable with.

Bethancourt's track record offensively is not good. He is still relatively young and usually, catchers are later to the game than the rest so you just never know.

This is what I am looking for. I want us to be crafty in obtaining players. New England does it every year. I don't need the Packers to "win" free agency every offseason but I want them to target players and be willing to give up draft picks or players that they feel they have gotten the most out of and there is no more. The Patriots do this better than anyone in the league and it's why they churn their roster each season and still win.

Arcia 3-3 today to raise that avg and ops to good places. It’s spring, numbers don’t mean much right now. That being said Choi and Bethancourt are doing everything they can to make this team.

This is where my issue with it is too. Counsell had to have his mini-me and most likely it won’t be pretty.

Fixed. Not that I love either of them, but then why have they said Braun won't play RF even when Santana sits? If the plan was to trade Santana, that means they traded all those assets for Yelich to play RF. That seems more than a little sub-optimal as far as team-building goes. I mean it was certainly an option, but again, if they were really that high on Braun this year (some people here are regularly still calling him the best hitter on the team, even last year), it sure seems the offseason would have been dramatically different. Like tmwiese55 has stated, they want to use Yelich over there instead of jacking Braun back and forth. The offseason had to do with having the opportunity to add two-elitish bats to our lineup and they took advantage of it. I'm in the camp that thinks they had something lined up with Santana and it's fallen through or put on hold. And now with that happening, they will make due with starting Braun in LF and 1B. Cain will handle CF until he needs days off. Santana will play RF and probably not play it well. Yelich will be the jack of all trades and fill all three. There really isn't much more to this than that.

It is looking more and more like Jett Bandy will "earn" his way onto the 25 man roster. Our catching department might be the black hole of 2017 if Pina cannot repeat his first half of last season or has bad health.

Longman. It would be great if he could figure out how to be effective for 2 innings a couple times a week.

It's only disappointing if they don't win games. If this poorly constructed team goes out and doesn't compete because of a hole at 2B, or the four OF's not getting enough time or a lack of starting pitching, then your complaints will be valid. I don't think Stearns see it that way at all right now though. I'm becoming more on Stearns side by the day. This roster is exciting, while there are question marks, this group could surprise once again.

At the beginning of the offseason, I was all for a Walker reconnection. Now, I am happy we are moving forward with Villar. Hopefully, this gives him the boost needed to be more like 2016 Villar. A force to be reckoned with.

Take being a Brewers fan (and probably for quite a few people on the site, being from or living in WI) out of the equation with where these guys might want to play. I love Wisconsin but that is because it is where I am from but if I were some of these guys that had no ties to the area, yeah, I'd second guess going to Milwaukee too.

And it gets being repeated but Guerra will gonoss four innings. Even with Miley and Guerra in the rotation, you’ll average above 5 IP per game. Some of this is being way overblown.

I want to see: Anderson Davies Chacin Guerra Miley Suter and Gallardo (if they believe he can do it) and Jeffress as the long men. Not a true piggyback but enough coverage if there are short starts. I really feel Suters value is in this role. I also would like us to get more service timeout of Woodruff. He can take over for the first injury or non performer.
