  1. Tar and feather the SOB.... Kidding. It doesn't really matter. Just hope no copy cat's come and start messing with that place is all.
  2. People should have known that there was always this chance but I am a little baffled mods knew he was a fraud and didn’t stop the madness. I guess what’s good for site traffic maybe. Anyways, Cobb is still a fit at the right price.
  3. They had a trade all lined up with the Titans. Would have been Hundley and their 3rd 5th rounder (compensatory #174) for the Titans 4th rounder (#125). The Titans got cold feet at the last minute and backed out. The deal isn't totally dead yet, though. The Raiders also made a call about Hundley. Would be likely for a 5th or 6th rounder. Tells a lot of what teams think of Hundley. But it’d be nice to get anything and move on.
  4. He just turned 22, so he's still extremely young. The Packers loved him coming out last year, and nearly took him with the 33rd pick. If he were still on the board at pick 61 last year, he would have been the guy. Now they are getting him in exchange for what they consider basically a throw-away player. If he doesn't pan out and improve his accuracy, they can cut him and move on in relative short order. Very little risk in this deal. Peavey, don’t take me calling him a bum too hard. I use it pretty lightly when referencing his play last year. Maybe I should think of a different word I suppose. He has big upside. After reading more scouting reports and watching some film of him, I’ve actually flipped on the trade. He will be a very interesting project for MM to have. And if it means Hundley doesn’t play ever again, I’m even more for it.
  5. They’ve already told Matthews he will be back and won’t need to restructure. Pettine had good things to say about him too. Also, I don’t get the dislike on him by a lot. He was one of the actual performing pieces to our defense last year. Did well for the most part.
  6. Like Hundley, accuracy will probably be a huge factor if he has a future in this league or not.
  7. Didn’t call this trade status quo, it was a generalized statement towards what we have done in previous years. You know, street free agents over real free agents and thinking you can fix every problem via the draft. That type of thing. And to the last part, how can we know if there is a plan?!? Lol there better be a plan to position this next years team to win a super bowl. It better include using picks to obtain quality players. Other teams have no issue with using a draft pick to get players and yet we treat them like each one will turn out to be a pro bowler. Too conservative in the past. Too many missed opportunities. Hopefully our new GM realizes this. Otherwise we might as well trade Rodgers and become the Browns of the nfc for awhile. Heck, we already have their bum QB. It will be really interesting to see where our franchise is compared to Cleveland in a few years. See which people we maybe should have retained.
  8. Blind faith is fun until we go another season of not winning. I’m on board with the trade but this “new” front office won’t get a pass from me if the status quo continues. Start being creative and filling holes, building depth. Other teams are positioning themselves, we better have a plan to do the same.
  9. Stearns on Yelich trade and Cain signing If you have Twitter it’ll work. Maybe someone else could find the mlb link for those that don’t have Twitter. It was a good listen about the day of the trade and how one move didn’t hinge on the other. You can tell that Stearns is very happy with getting both. Also interesting that he and other front office guys are in the clubhouse and have an office there to interact with the players and work with Counsell.
  10. Thought it was interesting because we have had many discussions about the current system and how these guys play for “peanuts” at the beginning.
  11. I’m fine with not drafting a QB this year but we are in the same position as last season with Kizer. He isn’t a guy, right now, that steps in and keeps you afloat.
  12. Randall had his issues but Kiser is flat out awful and we are very thin at defensive back. Not sure what we are doing
  13. Especially when Puk was your guy, like he was mine, going into that draft. How the Brewers passed on Puk at 5 will stick with me for their careers. Whoever decided Ray over Puk should be let go of their duties in the drafting department.
  14. To each their own but he rubbed me the wrong way and he continues to. He never had to say what he did BEFORE our season was ever played. Was hoping he made a decision to actually go get a ring so I could at least believe him at his word but he ditched Cleveland and he’s now signed with a team that will fight to be .500.
  15. Enjoy being a clear starting catcher with the A's instead of being a backup here Luc. To each their own. Good for him for taking the best deal and wanting to play everyday, versus doing like some guys and taking a team friendly deal with a good team to try and be part of a WS team. Exactly. These player talk out of both sides of their mouths. The A’s ain’t winning a damn thing. Thought he wanted a ring? Comical. Enjoy the L’s.
  16. I'll repost it here. Enjoy losing while we're winning Luc.
  17. Enjoy losing while we are winning Luc.
  18. They might but I don't think they want to go with Suter. I think Stearns and Counsell see him as that long relief stud for this bullpen.
  19. I saw that too. That's a game changer in my opinion, I'd go as far as to say it's likely that Guerra opens in AAA rotation now. Anderson Davies Chacin Miley Gallardo Look more likely by the day.
  20. I expect an undefeated season out of this bunch. Stay away from the injury bug and it shall be a fun run!
  21. Me too. Would we wanna do it for free or toss in a small amount of money to have a prize?
  22. Love it!
  23. Rough estimate, but probably 85% of Brewers fans feel the same way. It just gets dicey when you start bringing in how much they cost. Everyone has their breaking point of what they'd like the Brewers to pay for those guys services. We should find out (maybe) soon.
  24. I guess I'll [sarcasm]just going to sit back and enjoy the 3 straight days of Brewers TV baseball.[/sarcasm] THERE YOU GO!!! PERFECT!! haha I love that.
