  1. Especially with the Brewers ace throwing tomorrow Today. Gallardo throws today.
  2. You don't see the difference? So me asking HH what the 3/42 means, is worse then the Price is Right and Princess Bridge garbage? Come on. At least Im posting about COBB. The constant knobbing of HighHeat's posts are what people mean. Begging. Pleading. Is what gets old. The movie quotes were a hilarious answer to the seriousness of all this free agent pitching BS. Relax a bit and enjoy the discussion and witty remarks every once in a while.
  3. You don't see the difference?
  4. I'll guess a 6 year, $250 million contract.
  5. We ever done a site march madness bracket?
  6. Are Talib or Wilkerson "premium talent" at this point? Suh, Sherman, Graham, sure. But Wilkerson? He's an intriguing reclamation project and could benefit from a reunion with Pettine, but he's had two pedestrian years in a row and just got cut. Wilkerson might not be but Talib has graded out highly and we needed help in that area. Maybe cap concerns with it but the Eagles and Rams are loading up and the Vikings might be right behind them. Just hope the Packers won’t continue sitting on the sidelines while other teams position themselves.
  7. Aren’t you tired of this yet? If HH19 nails it, great. We will all crack a beer. But man, just chill a bit.
  8. How about $15M a year for Cain for five years? I like having him but all of a sudden it is looking like an overpay this offseason.
  9. Didn’t he turn down the QO from the Royals?
  10. I don't want that Talib anywhere near this town. That dude is cancerous trash to a football team. Wilkerson has some attitude issues too, so even though I would like his talents here very much that could be a reason we (may) not end up signing him. Eventually you have to take some chances on some premium talent. If the culture of your franchise is strong enough, you can do it.
  11. Yeah 3/42 just doesn’t seem high enough after all this waiting.
  12. Wilkerson leaves town without a deal and now I see that Talib could have been had for a 5th rounder. Same old Packers so far.
  13. You act as having TJ surgery less than two years ago isn’t a big deal. And then you couple that with a drop in velocity and creeping over 30 years of age. Even when you list his ERA’s (which isn’t the greatest metric), do you notice the trend? It’s got worse, by quite a bit, each season. I know it is... But year after TJ he made 33 starts. And was a worse pitcher than ever before. Why do we want to shuffle millions to this type of risk?
  14. Injury history? Outside of his TJ 2016 season, he's made at least 30 or more starts every year. You act as having TJ surgery less than two years ago isn’t a big deal. 15. But you are looking at his past as if it will be his present or future. His homers spiking last year could be a very good indication as to where he is headed as a pitcher. Not saying that will be 100% of the case but there has been plenty of people on here with data to actually back that up. Do you really want us sinking what is most likely our last remaining free agent dollars into that gamble? I just dont understand how he goes from allowing 13 HRs to 27 last year? Something DJ can fix? A fastball pitcher who has an injury history lost velocity.

  17. Yuck. I'd personally rather roll with Woodruff and Suter. I'd rather roll with Miley and Gallardo having comeback seasons than to pay Lynn.
  18. This goes a little bit with all the free agents who are out there but I am always amazed at the players who don't want to go to spring training. Isn't that where you really start to bond with your fellow teammates? Isn't that where you get to put in some work and hit the golf course a couple times a week? I mean, I get it that it is probably redundant but it's baseball. They only get so many times in their lives that they'll get to do spring training and interact with the fans and the players of their organization. Don't they want to sign and be a part of that? Maybe it is easier for me, a person who never sniffed a spring training, but I feel like if you love the game and want to be a part of the team, you want to sign those contracts and get yourself into camp.
  19. +1 I like the new logo. Leave it for a while. It is simple, clean and it looks nice on just about anything. As much as I like the ball and glove logo, it is also something that can be used from time to time to remember the past but that is about it. The "new" logo has been around for almost 20 years now. They've used it longer than any logo in the team's history. But it hasn't been the primary logo. It's been an additional one. Leave this one as the primary one for a long, long time. It is a good look.
  20. Broxton was 20th in catch probability and 19th in defensive runs saved in 2016.
  21. The new Far Cry game looks like it might be a lot of fun. Comes out March 27th.
  22. There are large stretches in the season where I swear that Broxton has a hole in his bat. He has value, to someone, maybe even us as a backup. But I am sure happy to see us move in a different direction. Philips may be the next guy I don't mind seeing moved if he can't figure out how to make more contact.

  24. Oh, wow. That's a rough start to your season well before it even begins.
  25. So far, Phillips isn't doing anything with the bat that makes you regret not giving him a chance to play this season.
