  1. Twins- 20% Phils- 20% Nats- 20% Brewers- 20% Cards- 20%
  2. Where do you see Cain and Yellich if Villar hits lead off, 2/3? If not Cain at 6? How about: Villar Cain Yelich Braun Shaw Santana It’s not like Shaw is a given to repeat.
  3. Again read what NOMAAM posted. Does he have some inside knowledge of what the Twins are doing? I know you have Odorrizi still trying to get Cobb to Minnesota.
  4. Does Logan Morrison pitch?
  5. I agree. An adjustment with Barnes and you may have something real special there. He's shown flashes of just filthiness but has lacked that consistency so far. Hopefully DJ gets him all fixed up for 2018. Other than that, the lead horse in that race has to be Williams. He will be a fun one to track this season.
  6. Hiura has two errors in his debut. Some work to do.
  7. Hiura just made an error on what looked to be a relatively easier one hopper.
  8. Drake got beat up yesterday so that’s good. And I think there’s a better chance Broxton spends 2018 in AAA than being traded for peanuts.
  9. Except Sogard has been in the league quite a bit longer and has been basically a turd. Villar is 5-6 years younger and shown a flash of high level play. If Villar looks anything like that 2016 version, it’s a no brainer of who is kept if that decision has to be made.
  10. Villar smacking around Ohtani was nice.
  11. Run producer = a good hitter that bats behind those that get on base. Look for Braun, Shaw and Santana (if still here) to have many, many opportunities to be those run producers that we’ll need.
  12. 1 inning pitched in spring training and boom! Forget Arrieta. Forget Cobb or Lynn. Burnes is ready! Gotta love is around here. We change with the wind.
  13. It is a message board where people go to post things like this. I swear there are quite a few posters on this board that feel they have to comment on every single thread; even if they do not like it. Hint: you do not. Aren't you doing the same thing by policing the board? You're not a moderator. If it's inappropriate, the moderators will take care of it. You don't have to respond either and you do have the option to block other posters if they bother you. Did you get moderator status?
  14. Santana had a double in his first at-bat, now misplayed a ball in right field. We are already in mid-season form!
  15. First thought, Aguilar looks trimmer. Looks good.
  16. We have our first set of lineups!!!
  17. Why would we want to pay a pitcher that hasn't pitched like an ace $35 million a year? And for two years? I just don't get that thinking. Do we need help on our staff? Yes. But I just don't think this is a great way to go about it. Adding $35M really leaves you no flexibility when July comes and we need to add to our team for the late season push and playoffs.
  18. Canada with a rough last week of play. Lost to go to the gold medal game to GERMANY today.
  19. I may be wrong but Walker is probably closer to the 2/$10 range than he is the 2/$20 range.
  20. How come? I ask because it just makes too much sense to put him in AAA over losing another pitcher because they don't have options. 1) It makes too much sense to keep the 8 best relievers. That's why they invested in Yelich and Cain - the window is open. B) If they don't make the team, what are the chances they are good enough to make someone else's team? Most of the guys who don't make the team aren't claimed by other teams. I'm not going to get worked up over losing Gallardo, Guerra, Drake, Webb, or even Lopez at this point. I don't know. A guy like Williams probably would be kept as #7 or #8 in terms of pecking order in the pen. I think it would be better to keep one of those guys you list (not Drake) in your B) answer and to have Williams get used frequently at AAA. He has an option which is great for stashing quality guys like him on your 40 man roster so that you may not lose out on another guy like you listed above that can also give you quality innings. The chances of us keeping 8 and only using 8 the entire year are slim. Strength in numbers.
  21. The refs made sure that day that it was not going to happen. Man, I hate Duke just because of that game alone.
  22. So, if the Badgers do win their last game and say they go 1-1 in the B10 conference tourney.... do they make the NIT? I know that there are teams with better records above them but you can't tell me that the NIT isn't chomping at the bit with a fan base like Wisconsin to pull in some money.
  23. I'm not losing patience because there are plenty of free agents out there still and ST is just about to start. Usually, towards the end of ST, there are players on waivers that might also be options for us. I still would love if Stearns targeted McHugh from Houston. But maybe that's just me. While it would be great to have our 25 man set basically, it is what it is and it will come together. Whether that includes Santana or not, we'll soon find out.
  24. Van Vlet!! Nice stroke buddy! That was sure nice to see. Another very nice win for this group and they’ve earned the opportunity to play for a .500 season. Only rotten thing is that it will have to come against Michigan State. Good luck boys!
  25. My beef, or whatever you want to call it was that he was never really cracking a story but more so just floating out a few possible moves that may or may not happen. I get that maybe that is all his source really ever told him but if I ever had a source, and they allowed me to share information it would only be stuff that I knew were actually going to happen. In the beginning, it felt like this was happening but by the end, it was just a bunch of talking points and guesses. That is where it just got to be pretty annoying. Rant off.
