  1. This time next year we will be the NL central champs! Can’t wait!
  2. Even if Braun plays his 130-135 games, he will get around 480-490 at bats. There will be plenty of opportunities for the other guys to get theirs. Seems like a non issue right now. Maybe in the future it becomes one but I just don't see it next season.
  3. Good post, I think you could add in about Brinson whether or not he is a trade piece? I mean, he seems to be often injured and is a young man. His trade value is still high enough where we could get a pitcher for him and buy into Phillips being out CF of the future.
  4. Can't he just retire for his own health or something? One can dream. I'm kind of sick watching someone swing helplessly at the plate half the time because of some injury. If we DLed him when we probably should I am not even sure he would play in half our games. This year he started just 95 games in the field... I wouldn't be totally shocked if the Brewers got more aggressive in sitting him due to injury next year and DLed him more often. Lewis Brinson would outperform this years Braun on defense alone. I guess we will see how next year goes. If he is injured this often and playing crippled half the time when he actually does play they need to figure something out for the future. Since this was in another thread that really didn't fit, I thought I would move it here. Why can't Braun coexist with Brinson, Phillips, and Santana? Did he have rough patches this year? Sure. But if he wasn't struck by some really bad luck you can tack on about 20 points to that BA and all of a sudden his line looks that much more like Ryan Braun. That advanced stats are out there to prove he was hitting the ball harder than he has at any other part of his career. That is impressive considering the injuries that he went through. He finished the season playing just about every game for us. Hopefully, the injury is past him and he can be a huge reason why we are still in the mix next season. There are about 1800 at-bats a year to our OF positions (3.7 AB's per game * 3 * 162) plus another 40 from interleague play (DH). If you take 1840 and divide it by 4 players you are looking at 460 at-bats per player in an all equal scenario. Now, we have to consider Braun possibly being injured or any of our other outfielders. Santana seems to need days off here and there and Brinson (the guy we should really be worried about) seems to be injured pretty frequently. With having a guy like Perez on the roster along with Brinson and Phillips, you have three guys that can play all three outfield positions. That covers enough to where Braun and Santana's lack of position flexibility doesn't really affect anything. Just feels like this problem should be the least of our concerns and that it could be a real strength having four players who are competent in their own ways for our three OF positions. (Sorry I did not include Broxton, just don't want to see him back next year. Doesn't get on base, questionable D, and strikes out too often. We have enough of that)
  5. I’d be surprised if he didn’t retire.
  6. $5 million could be used to make another Bud Selig statue at MP. That’s more useful.
  7. -10 wins more, I’ll take it! -Braun wasn’t MVP unless it was of the IR list -Davies was Cy Young if we use 1980’s standards -I think we could make the case for Arcia being ROY -Scooter wasn’t traded, flat out let go. -Susac was a surprise... surprisingly horrible. -Red Sox may win it but it won’t be over the Mets.
  8. Today I thought I was watching that hiccup game the Badgers usually have. Was very happy to see them snap out of it and take control.
  9. Ill take the 20th pick any day over the 10th. Those are absolutely crappy seesons to watch. This season kept me engaged for 161 games. We need more of that in Milwaukee and it was kind of the point of my post. Will there be enough progression with players and additions made that counter out the regressions of some of our players? Maybe it was a post that could’ve waited awhile but it’s been on my mind quite a bit the last month or so.
  10. It wasn’t meant to start anything nor be that negative but to reflect on how hard it was for this team to do what they did this season and the likely possibility that a lot of our players might not perform to this years performance.
  11. [sarcasm]Should we hang that banner out in left at Miller Park?[/sarcasm]
  12. Does the 2017 season mean much for what next year will look like or what our record will be? I ask this because this season has been great to win a bunch more games than expected but with just losing Nelson it feels as though we may take a step back next season. I mean we basically got career years out of Nelson and Anderson. Well Nelson might not be back and ya never know what Anderson we will get. Plus a lot of other factors. Just spit ballin.
  13. Haha thanks for posting this. Made me laugh and that is definitely needed right now.
  14. Good season but this still sucked the way it ended. Just always seems to be something.
  15. Yep. This is it for me. If the Rockies won tonight it wouldn’t really be much of anything but to flat out choke away this game? So Brewers baseball.
  16. I’ve played. Played plenty. We have a different opinion of his reaction. It’s okay. It’s really not even a big deal.
  17. Why was Braun so deep with a lefty-lefty matchup happening? Does Garcia have that great of power that I’m unaware of? Feels like you would want to take away that dumpy hit a bit.
  18. You slam a baseball off the top of your foot point blank at 100+ MPH and tell me how you handle it. Sheesh, seriously? Hopefully less dramatic than I’ve seen Thames over the past week. Heck they are even hitting his plastic pad and he’s hopping around like he was shot.
  19. I think you should go say that to his face. Lol I don’t know if he is or not but just because you have a bunch of muscles doesn’t mean you’re a tough person. I’ll make it clear that I have no inside information on him but after one year he seems a bit dramatic.
  20. Always amazes me how many guys hurt themselves by fouling it off their own foot. Thames seems like such a wimp.
  21. If that’s the last we see of Barnes, we done guy. Hopefully he takes the next step next season and becomes dominant.
