  1. A line of .310/.326/.500/.826 overall in the 2011 playoffs does it for me. People go a little insane with that name but he did show up with his bat that season in some big spots.
  2. Arrieta is a tool. No thanks.
  3. I really wish they would do another show like this. Parks and Rec followed and had great success. NBC needs to get on it.
  4. Mizzou is a Top 10 team where? In Missouri.
  5. This should probably get pinned at the top. Thank you for finding all the dates.
  6. It doesn't shock me that Wisconsin gets overlooked to start the season. It's pretty much a given at this point. And when they knock off a few teams to begin the year, I won't be shocked at that either. They will have some bumps due to inexperience but Gard will have them where they need to be come Big 10 play.
  7. If Wisconsin beats a 1-loss Ohio State (assuming) and Michigan while going undefeated in the B10 and they don't get in... I'll probably never watch another college football game period. What a joke that would be. All these different circumstances depending on the program that you are is a flat out joke.
  8. I would say that if there is not a big leap in performance this year, then we might as well write it off as a loss.
  9. Who exactly has Alabama beaten that is so good? Trust me, I get it, they are Alabama and I'm sure they'll probably win the thing. But how can we have different standards/criteria for different programs and call this thing legit? Why does an unbeaten Wisconsin team possibly get left out of they are B10 champs but a Bama team gets an automatic bid because they are Bama? This is my entire beef with NCAA football. It loses my interest fast when we even have to have these discussions.
  10. Shaw shouldn't be extended until he produces for a full season. I know he was going through a ton of things with his child last year that probably affected his play greatly but even with the Red Sox, he fell off quite a bit in 2016. I would really like to see him perform at a high level for an entire season before we do anything there. I also think Shaw might be our 1B of the future as he gets older if we were to lock him up long term. Not sure I want to go down that road either.
  11. Win out and none of it matters. Chances are they won’t but if they do, they’ll get in.
  12. Having Jungmann and Suter in the rotation with Hader in the pen? What would be the point? He'd never see a lead to keep anyways.
  13. Another game with another lousy performance from a Badgers QB. It’s like they don’t even coach that position. The lack of a quality player in that position will once again hold this team back. It’s too bad because I think Cyphus is a legit WR, we know we have a reliable TE and our RB situation is awesome again. Plus we have a good defense.
  14. Could not be more happy with my Blues start to the season. Please let this be the year.
  15. Masahiro Tanaka had a down year, will be 29, and is owed $60+m over the next 3 seasons. Could we pair Tanaka and Betances and offer a package of players?
  16. We are getting in that territory of spending money just to spend it again. I don’t want another overpaid 5th starter (who wouldn’t even be that if his salary didn’t force you to) on the roster next season, three years from now, or ever again. Let’s learn from the mistakes of the past for cripes sake. Spend on some guy for one season and hope for the best? Fine. But to lock up a guy into this 30’s for a decent amount of money just doesn’t make sense anymore. They don’t get to use the drugs to keep them healthy and effective anymore.
  17. Maybe Stearns views it as you say, maybe he doesn’t. But Counsell played this guy way too much down the stretch and led him off in the process. That’s my concern with this guy. Too much playing time for a meh player with little to no upside.
  18. Why do pitching coaches get passed around so much?
  19. Non-tender him and we will watch him light it up elsewhere like Scooter did all this season. Meanwhile we will have Sogard’s try hard but wet noodle bat leading off for us and getting on base about 32% of the time. History does tend to repeat itself.
  20. Well the Bucks need a guy like him. Badly if they want to be of any real threat. So they’ll either have to luck out in the draft or trade for someone of that talent. Giannis is a stud. Get the man some real players to play with.
  21. It’s too bad the Bucks didn’t get Kyrie. They might’ve actually been contenders.
  22. If they non-tender Villar and hand a guy like Sogard $2+ million, they are a bunch of buffoons.
  23. Not sure if this is sarcasm or not. Scooter made $2.5M last year and will make much more than that in 2018. MLBTradeRumors projects him at $6.1M. Ya, I'll willing to bet 2017 was a career year for Sogard but it was for Scooter too. Sogard not only doesn't suck defensively but he can also play other positions. To me, Sogard sucks. I respect him because of his hard work, good attitude type of guy but he’s a wet noodle hitter that hopes for a walk. I guess that’s fine since the rest of our team swings for the fences but just not buying that he is of any real value and most likely be played way too much because Counsell loves these types of guys. He’s a AAA bat that is solid at 2B and just okay everywhere else. Was really hoping Stearns wasn’t drinking the koolaid on this one.
