  1. Being able to run the football would cure a lot of the issues with him getting pressured. If they can run it, they can play action pass it. If they can do those two things, it will back off the defense from a lot of the crazy pressure he may see if we can't run it.
  2. Former first-rounder - Kyle Peterson Because we share the same name. My grandparents cut out the clipping of the newspaper after this draft and said this may be the only time you have been drafted by the Brewers. And they were right...
  3. Yep. Clearly what he should do is just shut up and beat women. Then he'd have a spot in the league already. Sadly this is more true than a lot of people will admit.
  4. I don’t blame him for not wanting to leave. Team is just starting to rise again and he is treated well in Milwaukee. Like others have stated, I can’t see him giving up $20M per year and retiring. I like to hear that he’s open to switching to 1B (at least that’s what I’m assuming the position change was about). Could save on his body a bit. Move Aguilar and have Braun as your starter there vs. LHP.
  5. It's the Brewers job to sell tickets. It's NOT their job to hold the people's hand that they sell the tickets to get them to the ballpark. To be honest, I cannot believe this is really even a discussion.
  6. We haven't even talked about us possibly being out both tackles for Hundley's first start. I mean, come on, can't the get at least some help. Lol
  7. lol, yeah I do agree with this but I also am on the side of the fence that believes Kaep should be on some time, somewhere. Pretty ridiculous (to me) to blackball a guy like they have done.
  8. As much as I would love to see #4 jump on up and help this team out no way would Ted Thompson even go down that road. McCarthy thinks/feels that Hundley is the man. And as great of shape that Favre is in the present day, one good hit and he's out for the count again. I mean he is 48 years old.
  9. Give it a couple of games. They have a full week of instal to get ready for a bad Saints defense at home. Then a bye week to prepare again to prepare for the Lions at home and a road game against the Bears. If they can win 2 of 3 to get to 6-3, things will look much better.
  10. It’ll be very interesting to see who they bring in. Very interesting.
  11. Could a mod toss this thread in our other sports forum please?
  12. Yeah, I don't think you understand how close to a lock the U.S. was. This was really the only realistic scenario that would knock the U.S. out (there was another scenario where the U.S. drew with T&T and Panama beat Costa Rica by like 6 goals and Honduras beat Mexico by like 13 goals) but those were literally the only two outcomes that would've knocked the U.S. out. Just because probably the unlikeliest outcome happened doesn't mean 538's odds were wrong. I guess poor attempt at a joke.
  13. Everything I’ve read about Vogelbach says he’s a terrible athlete that is overweight and won’t even make it as a 1B.
  14. With this and their last election odds, they might want to take a break for awhile.
  15. Nothing would make the Rangers and Stros more complete that signing Fiers to a low contract and him pitching like a #2 for us next season.
  16. I look at it as a treat for my wife and I. We don't get to many games a year so when we do, having a drink or two at the ball game is a nice thing to have. I get that the prices are pretty ridiculous but it's more so for the experience of the game. If I went to 20-30 games a year I would probably have a different opinion on it.
  17. The Nats are a very frustrating team.
  18. Why is there no high-end food that is available to people? I mean, why not have a stand or app you could order like a nice steak at? Maybe it's unrealistic but I think what a great option that could be. Could turn the Toyota Tundra territory into the Gordon Ramsey Kicken!
  19. I went to four games this past year and never had an issue at any of the concessions. Seemed more efficient and the food was better than it was previously IMO.
  20. I dislike them, but will always root for CC. So torn, until he was out. Yes, I was in the same mood. When CC had a perfect game going through 4 innings it felt as though something special might be happening as only CC would be able to do with the shape he is in and his age. But then the wheels sort of fell off and he was pulled. Then I became an Indians fan for the remaining 5 innings.
  21. Even if a company buys 10K worth of tickets and throw them in the trash, they were still bought. Why wouldn’t they figure into the attendance? Makes no sense.
  22. OK, again, how do you get that bat in the lineup? The Brewers need a future 1B, a future C (not sold on Nottingham, Garcia and Henry are not even at A-ball, and Cooper Hummel is probably a #2 catcher at best), and Lucas Erceg backslid a little from 2016. If Gomez's bat is that good, put it in. Yeah I’m over that way of thinking. You can’t have 8 guys in the lineup who can’t play defense.
  23. There’s probably a reason Gomez hasn’t caught in 2-3 years and it’s not that they’re saving his knees for his pro career.
  24. Thames and Santana for a bigger return?
  25. It's too bad that the White Sox wouldn't overpay us for a guy like Ray right now so we could move on from him before he loses every bit of his high prospect status. What a whiff by the Brewers on this one.
