  1. So not crippling, just a bad use of resources. That I can understand. I can also understand being done with selfish athletes that are having a midlife crisis and seem to bomb out of just about any meaningful relationship they've ever had. So if the Packers want to let him retire, I'm all for it. Collect that cash too!
  2. I still cannot figure out why this is crippling to the Packers in any way? Sure, do they lose out on draft picks they could get for him? Of course. But what else do they lose here? They gain money. They've drafted his replacement. What exactly is so bad about him retiring?
  3. I miss Braun. At least when he struggled he wasn't garbage.
  4. If Aaron Rodgers wasn't off vacationing all off-season his defense wouldn't give up so many points in the playoffs. And that's a fact.
  5. If the money goes to charity and players know that, then cool. If not, and they are just handing back over to the franchise/NFL then they are not as smart as they want you to believe.
  6. He's 17 and we probably liked him ourselves and lost out on him to sign. Will he be a good player? I don't know, check back in 4-5 years. It's a nice way to get something that COULD be of value down the road.
  7. This. I totally get that these guys have plenty of money but this always seems so damn foolish to me. Heck, even if you don't need the 500K, the things you can do with that money to help others would be a driving force.
  8. It is amazing that a company hasn't offered enough money to the Rodgers family to have that sitdown.
  9. This guy isn't good. Depth filler I guess.
  10. It truly is amazing how this guy has flushed away a lot of his support. I am one that did not see that happening. I've always thought he was smug and a bit selfish but got away with it because he was just so damn good at throwing a football. It will truly be interesting to see how these next steps play out and how he responds to some harshness of what was once a pretty loyal Rodgers fanbase.

  12. I like the trade. You always hate to give up arms but it’s a move for what looks to be a good shortstop. If Urias can be the super sub / PH threat, fine by me. In the end, I don’t really care who ends up being good, as long as the Brewers end up finding a way to be good. We ha e a strong middle of the field with this move. I’ll say that.
  13. Braun hanging out with Charlie Sheen w/Bob Uecker on the phone.
  14. I would be for 7-inning games. I think if you asked me 5-years ago, I would've snarled at it. But the direction of pitching has made me think it might be a decent idea. I also would love if they did DH's on Sundays with Mondays off/travel days.
  15. Don't trade any of our pitching. This isn't that hard. Pitching wins games. Yes, you need to find offense but pitching is just so much harder to find. I feel like some fans need to go really look back on some teams the Brewers had that had just awful pitching to really understand what their brain should be telling them.
  16. They maybe haven't had a long-term 1B but they've been fine over there most seasons since Fielder.
  17. As much as I'd love to see it, I won't be expecting it. It is a bummer that Wisconsin is a great baseball state and we can't figure out how to get UW-Madison on board with that.
  18. It's May 20th and we don't have a home run from Christian Yelich. It's pretty incredible.
  19. At some point shortly here, the Brewers need to hit on a few draft picks and have them coming through our system. I'm sure there are guys there that will end up being pro ball players but they just don't seem to have any worthy names, other an maybe Mitchell, that anyone would really want from us. It is pretty hard to adjust your roster with that situation. Draft and develop just has to be the way of the Brewers or it will be short bursts of decent teams and longer droughts of losing.
  20. If I remember right, there was quite a bit of "we should be selling" talk in 2018 as well. I'm personally glad they chose a different path. I think if they are anywhere close to .500 at the deadline, they'll be buyers. And if this team isn't close to .500 at the end of August, that would be a massive disappointment. I wanted the Brewers to sell badly in 2019. They ended up winning 89 games and back in the playoffs and they probably should have knocked off that Nats but I thought it was a golden opportunity to revamp their farm but still stay competitive in future years. I look back and what they might've been able to nab for guys like Moose, Grandal, Thames, and maybe a pitcher like Davies and wonder what might've been if we had gone down that road.
  21. Does anyone really care that he’s from Whitefish Bay? I’d be willing to bet that if you don’t live in the area, you don’t even know Whitefish Bay exists. Either way, firing him or talking about it is nonsense that fans do when they’re upset that their team has let them down.
