  1. The most feasible is to completely change the approach at the plate. Throw analytics out that says to just swing away in basically all situations. Play old school baseball, focusing on moving runners over. Sure, but this isn’t going to happen.
  2. Really wish they’d just let Lauer pitch.
  3. It is so weird to see Yelich hitting 2 and Hiura hitting 4 in the lineup for the Sounds.
  4. When Hiura was breaking through, his bat had that sound. The sound when Braun smokes it off the right field wall. Mitchell is the next guy I’ve heard that same sound. Time will tell I guess.
  5. I’ll throw my thought of the lack of development into the ring here. Lots of guys drafted, have good talent. Development matters. The Brewers right now suck at it.
  6. No respect I tell ya. It’s Houser
  7. Why do you keep repeating this? Kolton Wong can and is hitting well this season. I get that you may not like the signings but at least be truthful in your posts. It's weird that you repeat utter nonsense. Wong was signed for his defense and his bat is good enough for the position but he is not a good hitter. You make no sense. None.

  9. He did mention on the Pat McAfee show that he had seen some things on film that he changed. He did not get specific after the season but there was a noticeable difference for him last season.
  10. I applaud you for putting Houser in the rotation LOL Welcome to the Dark Side! He's there to stay. He's been fine. I don't enjoy him when he's pitching usually but he's been just fine this season. I still think he would be a heckuva weapon in that pen. It's too bad Lindblom absolutely has stunk.
  11. I don't really have an expectation for him. He has looked very good at times but also absolutely terrible in 2020. If I take out the 2020 season, he looks to be a pretty good pitcher and someone I'd be very happy having in our rotation. The problem is now those spots are becoming harder and harder to get. Hopefully, he can nab one and pitch like a #3 guy in a rotation. 1. Burnes 2. Woodruff 3. Peralta 4. Houser 5. Lauer That is damn good if they pitch to their potential and will help win a lot of baseball games in Milwaukee if they continue to surround themselves with a strong back end of the pen.
  12. He's probably hoping SD or LA have some injury issues late in this season too. Heck, if those teams were smart, they'd add him to their rosters late for a bench bat if he wanted.
  13. Not a pioneer on the mound but maybe at the plate. The only guy I've seen do some of the things he did up there.
  14. Really? Cause we have spent a lot of money the last two offseason on OFers without much production. I hope Lauer pitches good, but if he was that promising he would not be in the bullpen. Yes, really. Pitching wins in this league. If Lauer ends up being good it won't matter that Grisham is also good. We are seeing it with our own eyes right now how much pitching truly matters with winning.
  15. And if Eric Lauer ends up being a good pitcher, the Urias part won't matter much. Pitching wins. We can find outfielders.
  16. He’s done until he’s not. Anyone that leaves a window open for return has not closed the door mentally. I don’t think there’s a strong chance of return like originally I did but if the situation is right, I could still see a swan song finish.
  17. Oh, well I'll butt out then. Evaluating 60 games of a covid season on top of this mess Stearns has had to navigate for 30 games is just nonsense to me so it'll do me or you any good here to continue. The variables alone are just... yeah.
  18. Good point SomewhereInTime. Anything that has gone bad for the Brewers just about has.
  19. It seems odder to me to just throw out a 60 game sample from last season as irrelevant but yet cite a 30 game sample this season as a success. The production from last year still mattered. Since we were a playoff team it could have mattered a lot. The same logic applies to guys like Grisham and Davies. Yes, you can't close the book on the trade, but you have to take into the account the production they've already given, too. Grisham and Davies would have been crucial pieces for us last year, but we did not have them, and Urias and Lauer gave us no return on investment last year. I throw them out, not because it didn't matter to the Brewer's success, but because it is a terrible way of gauging a player. You are telling me that you will look past their prior seasons of success and the success that both have had this season because you are disappointed in their 2020 year?
  20. I get it, and I'm not saying I wouldn't do it, but at least Keston has had success in the pros. Gavin has just been a disappointment.
  21. Using 2020 to be grumpy about Narvaez and Garcia is odd to me. Both have been just fine or better in 2021. Hopefully a healthy return for Narvaez as he was beginning to be a real difference maker.
