  1. Probably a very smart move by the Cubs not signing him for this price. I just can't see this guy lasting 5 years.
  2. [sarcasm]It's going across Twitter than we are either getting Schwarber back or $5 million in cash[/sarcasm]
  3. Basically gave up our 21st ranked prospect (Miguel Diaz to the Padres) for this guy. Me no likey.
  4. So we lost our 21st ranked prospect, according to MLB.com, and picked up a guy from the Yankees who I do not see listed. Solid day. I won't get too upset because as we continue to stockpile talent, not all of them are going to be with us. BUT, this seemed like a move that did not have to happen and the guy we drafted seems like at best, would be a loogy.
  5. Slept on it. Still a horrendous trade for the Nats. This one will be funny to watch unfold.

  7. Because Braun is 28, has good defense, controllable for 5 years, and for an average salary under $10mil yearly right? Heck regarding WAR Easton had a higher WAR even before factoring in defensive value. Braun's value is no where even near that of Easton's. Not even close. I'll take Ryan Braun any day, all day on my team over Adam Eaton. And that's not to knock Eaton, he's just not in the same class of a ballplayer.
  8. After seeing what Eaton went for, I want Bellinger and De Leon.
  9. It's Dodgers or bust for me. Stearns should be looking at Bellinger plus in terms of prospects. If he doesn't get it, move on and we'll just have Braun as a part of our next winner.
  10. I don't understand how you wouldn't see that would bug someone during your rant.
  11. [sarcasm]It's probably the Cubs.[/sarcasm]
  12. I doubt very much that Braun would approve a trade to Toronto based on his list of approved teams. My rough estimates would put Braun's team in 2017 as follows: Brewers 50% Dodgers 35% Giants 10% Other team 5% These are pretty good percentages. I'm right there with ya.
  13. I have a hunch that Braun won't even consider it.
  14. 1. Arcia was not very good in AAA last year 2. Arcia was awful in MLB last year 3. It will get back more service time that was wasted promoting a not ready Arcia 1. False. 2. Mostly False, started out shaky but played well to finish. 3. He will be our shortstop. See Stearns comments.

  16. Brewers Get: Bellinger, De Leon, Calhoun, McCarthy, Puig Dodgers Get: Villar, Braun, Torres
  17. That popped into my head after I hit submit on this topic actually. I think it is worth it as well to be open to moving on from him if the price were right.
  18. Wow. Did not see this one coming.

  20. Brewers Get: Bellinger, De Leon, Calhoun, McCarthy, Puig Dodgers Get: Arcia(fits at 2B), Braun
  21. I'll start it. With the trade for Dubon and already having Diaz could we possible unload Arcia for even more this offseason? I'm not sure I'm advocating for it but it sure is interesting. It's not like Villar/Perez couldn't fill the gap at SS for the time being. What would a prospect like Arcia get in a return? Interesting to think about.
  22. Is Dubon starting at SS in AAA to start the year or placed back in AA? He will be 23 in July of the 2017 season.
