  1. Because he gets on base and hasn't had near enough at bats to write him off.
  2. They should hope Scooter gets hot after his return and trade him before July 31st. Scooter is a liability at 2b. Other than hitting RHP at a solid clip, he doesn't really add much to this team. Put Villar at 2B where he belongs. Let Perez/Walsh/Rivera, whoever finish the season at 3B and see if any of them stick. If not, we know the hole that needs to be filled via FA possibly.
  3. Trade for Trout and Braun. Make the greatest OF the game has ever seen!
  4. Those days were just miserable...that and him looking like an idiot on every breaking ball on the outside part of the plate. Amazing what an injury can do to even your approach at the plate. This Braun is much more enjoyable.
  5. Brauns thumb must be a lot better. A year ago he doesn't get to that ball inside.
  6. You know, AngelsDodgers should really think about that before they just dismiss it. Braun and Jeffress for Urias? Heck, throw in Anderson or Davies.
  7. Nope. Not one bit. It is comical how some will undervalue him because of PED's. That's their broken hearts speaking more than it is anything. Braun is a monster hitter that any team would love to park in their 3-hole.
  8. I wish there was a way to snag Julio Urias from LA for Braun but it might be too late in the process as Urias might be up in the next couple of months. LA needs help offensively and is on Braun's places he would be okay with going.
  9. Hoping for another quality start from Davies tonight. Keep showing signs of improvement rather than the opposite.
  10. Boy am I glad that a lot of us aren't running this team. The guy has had 54 sporadic MLB at bats to start the season. Yes, could he be hitting more? Absolutely. But this guy has hit in the minors and will probably hit at some point here with some regular play. He's show a great eye to get on base and can play multiple positions. Way too early to write him off yet. Way too early...
  11. You're better off getting a dual router. It made a huge difference for me at my home upgrading. I think it cost $70
  12. You would think he would welcome a chance at a ring with the Nats and the Nats make a lot of sense for a trade. What a huge boost he could be for them. Toss in a reliever and make the deal even better.
  13. Could be a ploy to get more but maybe it could have to do with what Jeffress went through to get to where he is now. Might have a personal tie with the organization that we are not aware of. Not saying I agree with either. Just throwing a bunch at the wall to see if anything sticks.
  14. It just isn't worth the risk of a huge drop off from the catcher position when we can help refill our minor league system now. You don't need an all star catcher to win you just need a competent one.
  15. Why can't we just do that with one of the guys we already have? Thornburg? Capuano? We could do it but Milone has a chance to be be a redeemer while a guy like Cappy doesn't do much for us.
  16. Add in Phillips to CF and our middle of the field looks good. Position of catcher is a crap shoot though.
  17. Pick him up and start piggy backing him with a guy like Anderson. Save the pen with two guys that can pitch 4 innings each.
  18. That is true to and probably a more natural fit seeing his lack of power. He really doesn't have a future at 3B unless we literally can't find a "real" one which I dearly hope doesn't end up being the case. I just like the possibility of two very rangie guys in the middle of our field. Could be very fun. Especially with all the shifting.
  19. Or 2B if we can move Scooter.
  20. He is a 26 year old hitting .094 with below average D. His saving grace is that he isn't blocking anyone the Brewers want to develop here I guess? Yes with the most irregular at bat on this team. Having said that, the fact that he is still patient and knows the strike zone after being rusted to the bench, is awesome to see. Counsell has done this guy no favors to start this season. No reason at all to give up on this guy.
  21. The Angels are in a bad place right now. They have nothing in their farm system to write home about and a bunch of flat out crap surrounding Trout. They should trade him and begin to rebuild themselves.
  22. If they trade Braun away and receive little to nothing in return, my days as a Brewers fan will be numbered. He's a once in a generation type hitter. If they mess that up, screw em, I'm out. (not that they care.)
  23. Here is a stretch that could be very telling of our season. 8 games against the Reds and Padres with a three game series with the Marlins in between. 11 game stretch where we could see ourselves play above .500 ball and if we don't it will be really telling as to how this season will play itself out for this ball club. They have been playing better as of late, hopefully that will spring board into this stretch of games before seeing the Cubbies again.
