  1. Peralta is ticking up. He's shown the ability to turn it around. Jungmann was a fish out of water out there and you could see it. Sad to watch. Hopefully he'll get adjusted in AAA.
  2. Couldn't agree more. This is getting to be a joke. Like someone else mentioned that he is on this team and can't go down so maybe he is the last one to get an opportunity. Either way, when they finally go to him, he'll be rusted to that bench. Dumb.
  3. I think you are missing the point. Whether it be the offseason or not, these guys all have the resources to reach one of their MLB paid trainers that know exactly what can and cannot be used. It doesn't matter if they are being supervised by this trainer specifically. If the player doesn't do this, they are not too bright and deserve what they get.
  4. A sleazy trainer that works for your ball club? If you have any other trainer than that looking at the supplements you are taking, you deserve the 80 game ban because you are an idiot.
  5. This is all that needs to be said to any player that is every caught using something on the banned list. Even in college, you have people you can bring your substance to and they will tell you whether or not that substance is on the banned list. It is a really simple concept that these MLB players feel we are too stupid to realize or something. Now, if you take those steps and something were to occur, then you did what you were supposed to do in the first place.
  6. His ERA since the beginning of 2015 is an awesome 1.14. If that's not worth at least a look with a pitching staff like this one, what is? Yeah, what's the hold up with this guy getting to the majors? I don't understand this one after looking through his stat line. Better than trotting out Freeman, Torres, etc..
  7. Boy, reading this is a kick to the stomach a bit. I know it is probably realistic expectations but without a guy like Hader taking the next step, when do we take the next step? If Lopez truly is not good, and he's one of our top prospects, what are we left with?
  8. Yeah I don't know if I was really saying bring up Hader right now, just comparing some players who are relative to his age and innings pitched in the minors to see where the Brewers fall with a lot of this stuff. I get the service time argument too, just always seems like our pitchers are 25-26 when getting to the majors.
  9. I tried to grab as many names as I can to compare. How is it decided when a player is ready to go? I see innings all across the boards here. All of these guys have had plenty of enough success to be deemed ready to go. I guess my point is I feel as though a lot of times we waste a lot of good years with these pitchers in the minor leagues.
  10. Dee Gordon being busted has to be very low on peoples list of who you would've thought was on PED's.
  11. Not trying to be a jerk but how does a guy Ops'ing under .500 outperform your expectations?
  12. Can we just bring up Hader already.
  13. At this point I won't be making a trip to Miller Park unless I know Nelson is pitching.
  14. Send him down to where? AAA in Colorado Springs where no pitcher ever does well? Really makes no difference at this point.
  15. When David Ross is pimpin dingers off you, you know you have some work to do.
  16. Jungmann could be out of the inning if Hill were able to snag that foul pop up. Tough play but it hit his glove.
  17. Welp, there's the depth of the Cubs. They load em up and don't miss. We load em up and K - K, glad I don't have to do a third.
  18. With good pitchers like Arrieta it is best practice to try to do less. It always amazes me that guys swing out of their shoes when things get ramped up a bit. Have some composure. Sometimes less is more. I guess at least we got him to throw 31 pitches in the first.
  19. Oh boy, Carter up with bases loaded in the first and one out. A chance to jump on Arrieta before he gets settled in. This could be fun!
  20. I was going to reply, but I will wait for you to copy/paste that and make a new thread because it is a good topic. I don't want to derail this thread into multiple topics though. Moved, sorry. http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=33954
  21. I think an even better thread might be what is Carter's value going to be if he continues his torrid pace he's been on. Is he a guy we hold onto or move on from and get even more trade pieces? All I know is an AL team should be drooling over him if his numbers are even close to what he's at come June/July. At $2.5 mil, he's cheap and controllable. This could be a huge get for Stearns.
