  1. The Craig Council/Counsell commecial after every inning of the Brewers games. I believe it is an Associated Bank commercial. The Brewers need to find a couple of more sponsors so we can get some variety.
  2. Thornburg started out great. Hasn't been of late. Stinks to blow this one but still a series win.
  3. haha, you sir win today's best post. This was good. Really good.
  4. It sure would be an easy fix to just nab a few pitchers and be competitive but unfortunately it is easier said than done. I hope Stearns can hit on a few gems but it probably won't be this season. Now, can some of our pitchers come back towards where they probably should be? Yes. And that will keep us from looking pathetic out there. But until they do, we will have long losing streaks. Teams that are going to be in the hunt come September/October do not have long losing streaks.
  5. Let's also remember that sports franchises continuously sell for hundreds upon hundreds of millions each sale, regardless of Chris Carter plays for them or not. I guess I should've been more clear. Our payroll is dependent on butts in the seats. The more people to turn the gates at Miller Park, the better. Having a guy like Carter smashing bombs on a team hovering .500 can do that for you.
  6. .283 .353 .435 .788 is good enough out of our CF. If he continues to post anywhere near this line, Reed has no role on the Brewers club. Let him get his playing time in on the AAA team. If Kirk falters and we have no one else step up then fine, bring up Reed and let him have a shot playing full time.
  7. Santana out of today's lineup. Something going on with him more than they are leading on? Good to see Braun back in there. Lineup is a little too left handed if Santana is unable to go.
  8. Also depends on where the Brewers are record wise. While they talk of a rebuild, if they are within a few games of .500 and they are not blown away by an offer for him, they will keep him to be competitive. Still have to put butts in the seats for this franchise to be worth anything.
  9. Yeah, it is pretty unlikely that he would be a selection. He will have to keep on the pace he is right now until the all-star break to get in. But yes, I would love to see him swat away in a home run derby.
  10. Dare I say lock him up for a few years if it continues? So long as it isn't 10-15 million per or something astronomical. Ain't like we have solutions at 1B anyway. He's ours until 2019 if we want him. He will go through the arby process which I would assume if he continues at the pace he is going, he'll be due for a pay raise.
  11. Congrats to Junior Guerra earning his first win in the majors at the age of 31. Pretty awesome story. Keep pumping those strikes.
  12. Jeffress JACKED up after that save! Love the emotion. 3-straight!!!!
  13. Man. We needed that add on run. Flores/Rivera need to do job there.
  14. Hey at least Guerra throws strikes. Might get hit but nice to see strikes.
  15. That's because to most of the MLB, the Brewers organization is a farm club for those other more "exciting" large markets. They could careless what the Brewers get in return. We should have just been happy that we were lucky enough to of drafted him in the first place.
  16. Trade them for Strasburg then too
  17. This is a great thing to be heard. I mean, it is what 99% of this board has been hoping for I think. We need pitching if this rebuild is going to be anything successful. If we go at it with the Brauns/Fielders/Weeks/Harts of the world again and have no pitchers, this rebuild won't matter one bit.
  18. Poor timing for Braun's back to flair up. He's red hot and trade buzz is surrounding him. We'll see how much it hampers him moving forward or if this is just a case of some soreness from playing mostly every day.
  19. Must be our new pitching coach. We can use the word anal? Oh fun!
  20. Their offense has been doing very well. It is a breath of fresh air to watch a team not up there swinging out of their shoes. Been very fun so far on that end. If we can hammer home a respectable rotation, we will be a joy to watch this season. Playoff good? Nope. But we'll have our moments. How awesome has Villar been? A lot of people questioned him being the starter before the season but I think he's done his best to silence the critics. Good for him. Last nights spin-o-rama play was fun to watch! Also, it is great to see a guy like Kirk Newenhuis do a good job for this team. He just may be the answer to our stop gap in CF and give us respectable play out there. Fun, fun!
  21. How can you not be pulling for a guy like Junior Guerra? Talk about paying your dues. Hope he lights it on fire tonight and for many more starts!
