  1. I like that you value our players high because most really undervalue them but you might be too far on the other end of the spectrum. I love watching Lind but he's just not worth the chance of being injured and he's no spring chicken.
  2. Fielder ain't coming home.
  3. What, exactly was wrong with those deals? I leverage two pitchers who the Brewers probably won't be able to keep from free agency into some serious prospects (the 2017 infield is Seeger, Arcia, Cordell, and Fielder; Austin Barnes would take over for Lucroy at catcher), I keep Braun the HECK away from third base, the Brewers have young pitchers in the rotation, and oh, yeah, the offense gets an upgrade to back them up. They are just too unrealistic. And why do we need to keep Braun away from 3B? It's never going to happen so why would that be even a consideration?
  4. No. No. No.
  5. December 10th. Thank you! For some reason I could not find a date.
  6. Sardinas is a guy that needs PEDs. It was a good trade. It'll be shown over time.
  7. Why couldn't this be under our 40 man roster thread?
  8. Or maybe we've talked Braun into taking a shot at first base?

  10. What middle infielders are out there to be had?
  11. Also, that lineup can contend. I'm sick of hearing how great the Cardinals and Cubs are. Do they look to be better on paper? Sure. But that means didly squat in baseball.
  12. Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the transactions so far. Hopefully a strong Winters Meeting and signing some cheaper veterans after all the buzz wears off and we head into the 2016 season with a young, exciting group of guys with a bunch of very talented players waiting in the wings.
  13. I'll take them both and then sign David Price and some other free agents. Oh wait, we're the Brewers. Nm, pass.
  14. So does this mean he won't be available for the season? We may need a 1st basemen after the Lind trade.
  15. Yuni played first. This guy can play first. Yuni was about as useful at 1st as the 1st base coach was. Maybe I should've wrote that in blue...
  16. Yuni played first. This guy can play first.
  17. Perfect. We have a lot of option then. We won't be "stuck" with a guy if he stinks. And we can use some of these guys as trading pieces to fill other holes.
  18. Can't imagine the tweets/quotes about a guy by the name of Carlos Gomez before we got him, turned him into a all-star and then flipped him for some very good prospects. Love this deal. Time to move on from Segura!
  19. I copied this over to the transaction forum. Worthy of discussion there.
  20. Stole this from BrewBalls in the MLB forum and figured it would possibly be a nice discussion here. The Cubs Jeimer Candelario is an intriguing player. Young, switch hitter that has had some success.
  21. He's not exciting. He's the 11th ranked prospect in what is arguably the worst system in baseball. Maybe the PTBNL will help make this trade a bit more exciting, but losing his salary is probably the best thing for the club, as well as clearing a roster spot and simply letting our young guys play. Moving the salary is fine and dandy but Krod really isn't blocking too much. He's a closer. They pitch about 60 times, maybe, on a bad ball club. I really hope the PTBNL is something of use because I would toss money down that this Betancourt doesn't sniff the majors.
  22. What makes Betancourt an exciting get? Reading about this guy and I'm just not seeing it. Anyone?
  23. Not if you consider Detroit is picking up his entire salary. A very inexpensive salary in terms of what the going rate for quality closers are. I had similar thoughts but the player to be named later is something that intrigues me. Hopefully another high ceiling player in the mix if Krod pitches well.
  24. Sarcasm aside, he's the best option they have right now. I'd take him over Herrera or Rivera. Just curious, but why? I was sarcastic because people were losing their minds over this guy. I'm glad he is back because he is another guy that provides some depth. But I do not think he is anything other than a filler. A guy like Herrera, while not young, gives you a guy that can play all over, hits from both sides, and has had success in a Brewers uniform. Why the hate? He is as much of a filler than Perez, possibly even a better player.
