I could see this move if the front office is going to try to assemble a playoff team next year but that doesn't sound to be the case. If we are going to be a rebuilding team then why waste the dough when we have plenty of options in the OF?

I sure hope they bring up anyone and everyone who could be a possibility for next years team. Let em play and see what happens. Bring up Arcia if they want to. Don't care. Just get some ballplayers up that can do something at the major league level. -

I agree completely with Melvin too. It is a completely different ball game when September call ups happen. Something needs to be done in this department. Especially in the National league when you can just pinch hit and throw in pitchers left and right. It's not how the game was designed and it bores fans who have to watch pitching change after pitching change. -
Then shame on those other poor, idiotic GM's that continue to cycle through crappy players. I never understand why GM's are so afraid to try other players.

I think you're going to get dinged for language but you make some good points. He plays with a different emotion than most and when it shows in a fashion such as this, players don't like it.

If he's was 25-26 I might be upset they let him go. But he's on the verge of 31 and we are not close to competing. It was a good trade so far in terms of prospects. Hopefully they pan out for us.

I'd put my money on Brauns offense holding up over Lucroys defense. Not only that but Lucroy has been bad at the plate this year. trade him while there's some that still feel he's really good.

I agree. Plus with pitchers specializing and only being pitchers, you might as well call up fans to get in the box. Most of these guys are jokes.

I think he could stand to lose some weight. Could help. -
A lot of it has to do with the timing of the count. Are we down in the game? Are we up? What inning is it? Who's at bat? etc... But it is hard to hear that a group of players basically ignore coaching. Maybe if they sucked up their ego's they wouldn't be struggling to win 70 games this season.

I hope our next GM moves some of our players through the system faster. More so the pitchers.

Another great reason a GM cant base everything off what a stat sheet tells you. On paper he looks like he's a solid contributor. But watch him play. If there are no better options then this teams in worse shape than I thought.

Already August 11th and I haven't heard a word on anyone being traded or clearing waivers. Is this strange or common? I truly can't remember how this usually works.

Transparent, solar panels would be awesome. Can see through them and they create energy!

I like the idea of an atrium being built. Not sure if it could even be possible but the stadium would look just that much better.
