Another manager waiting too damn long to get a guy up in the bullpen. This one will be out of reach before you know it.

I honestly feel for Lohse. Just the look on his face is hard to stomach. He's a good guy that works hard and is a good teammate. Father Time catches us all. Hopefully we brought the bats tonight again!

Jungmann for me. Get a bunch of early ground balls on over aggressive hitters in a big game!

Keep on winning and who knows what will happen. The trade everyone, Melvin sucks at GM fans heads will explode.

This is the optimism thread. Thanks!

Toss in Fiers as a cheap #3-4 type pitcher as well. He's been very consistent and usually gives you a chance in the ball game.

I want this team to just keep winning. Screw drafts, screw prospects. WIN!!
  8. pacopete4
I don't see an E next to their name in the standings so yeah, they're still in it.

Win out or only have one more loss before all star break and things will get real interesting in that front office. Keep on rolling crew!

Khris Davis would be the perfect left fielder for the Astros. That short wall would help his bad arm. Package him with Lohse or Garza and get a decent return.

Yeah I can understand being skepticable but sometimes just the change of scenery does wonders. Maybe it's because we have so many undisciplined batters that it's just been a nice change of pace to see a guy work counts, no be afraid of using the opposite field, and have some success.

Depending on what their plans are next season, I'd take Wilson on his last year of the contract if they tossed in $6-8 million with it.
  13. pacopete4
A guy like Parra, Peterson, heck even Perez are giving great at bats, racking up pitch counts and actually hitting.

You've gotta be kidding me? The dude has been lights out the entire season. People complain, just to complain. If you don't like him, fine, but he's earned his paycheck this season and there's no debating that.

Two bombs to get em up by 4 now. That should do it! Series win against the Twins!!
  16. pacopete4
Perez with another nice AB that ends in a hit. Gotta keep playing this guy. You just never know..

The thing about that statement is we just do not know until he's allowed to play consistently for a long period of time. Ship Aram and lets do it.

Lucroy was a fun catcher to have but I want no part of his next contract, aging catcher body, and most likely steep decline of production.
  19. pacopete4
Kirby just froze a batter to win the CWS!
  20. pacopete4
He just needs to pitch better. It's that simple. He needs to figure out or develop an out pitch at the MLB level. He's not yet to do so which has hindered him from being a #2-3 type pitcher that he could possibly be.

Hope this was meant to be blue. He is second all time of the doubles list as well.

It felt as thought Mr. Rose was making some traction in getting people behind him in his pursuit to the HOF but this may just derail that. Even with the new commish, he is caught lying again and I just don't see him allowing him back in baseball. As much as I just don't care about his betting anymore, and feel he should be in the HOF, I just can't see him overcoming this one. I wonder what this does for his reunion in Cincy during the all-star game this year? Either way, I thought I'd share.

Said perfectly. It's Tabata's job to get on base and Sherzer's job to get him out. Tabata won that battle. Cry me a river for those that thing some injustice was done.
  25. pacopete4
Oh to heck with that. Good job of at Tabata DOING HIS JOB, and getting on base. Amazing. It's all on Sherzer. Make the pitch and you don't have this issue.
