That was a nice get out a huge inning by Fiers. Could've only been 1 run had Segura thrown the man out at 3B. Gotta have better communication on those cut plays.

I hate to say it but it is nice to having to watch a pitcher bat. I love the strategy stuff in the NL so much but it is painful watch pitchers kill rallies or just flat out bat.

I hope we win 10 straight as well. That would mean our players are playing well and either we slide back into a race or we are able to get more for our players in a trade.

Shortstops with upside have as much value of any class of players in baseball. If they won't give up Matz then hang up the phone. (And I'm not even a huge fan of Segura, I just think he's realistically worth a premium pitching prospect, easily) Give them Ramirez with Segura and pay the rest of Ramirez's contract if they think Matz is the next big time pitcher.

I wonder if they'd just release him and let him start his retirement early. Its not like they are playing for anything this year. I think the Brewers just may do whatever he wants them to do. They usually are a class organization and I doubt they'd just release him if he wanted to finish it out.

Gomez has to be a frustrating player to manage. You just have to accept the bad that goes along with the great. Minnesota couldn't do that and that's why he's succeeded as a Brewer.

I know he's making $10 mil but I'm starting to feel bad for Aramis. This can't be how he saw his last year going. He's absolutely brutal at the plate now. Just not sure how it can be justified that he continues to start each day.

I would think if it works every time, figuring out the timing to have the least impact on games missed shouldn't be that hard. Once before spring training and then once around the all star break. And if this team or whoever he's traded to ever makes the playoffs, it always seems as though there is time at the end of the season either using Sept. call ups or before the series actually starts. -
It's just tough to win when you give up 5 in the first. You usually don't come back from that.

I think it was yesterday's game where Braun tripped over 1B. Looked like it hurt. He might be trying to give him 2 days off rest that.

John Lannan. Watched him pitch in Albuquerque today and he might be a nice guy to include on a trade. Could finish this season with us and possibly be a cheap filler next year until we get some of our younger pitchers ready.

So the only way Brewers fans can effectively get through to Mark A that he needs to completely restructure the front office and the way the Brewers run their franchise is to stop buying tickets. I'm in. Honestly, it's not too far off. If fans completely deserted Miller Park in a "boycott" of sorts type event, he would probably get it that fans are ticked off with the direction the franchise has taken. Is it that bad? Maybe for some people but I doubt all fans feel that they are that far off.
