  1. I don't think he knows anything more than a casual poster on these boards. The Packers want options. I don't blame them for that. If they hit on Love, it makes it an easy call to move on from an aging QB that costs a lot of money.
  2. Nice! Make it better knowing that it didn't cost a bunch.
  3. Half?!? I mean, of course, a bigger injury could occur to anyone on our roster so you may end up right but what a statement. While Cain's shouldn't be looked upon to play 145+ games anymore, half is utterly ridiculous to state. Hell, even Braun who was a lot more injured, played more than half the games in his seasons. And then scolding others on a hill to die on? Man... welcome to the message board.
  4. Yes! Good news. Another signing to make #12 happy!
  5. Who did we keep that he thought we would lose? Aaron Jones? I guess maybe Preston Smith? He did indeed lose Linsley and I doubt he cares one iota about whether or not King is here. Jones yes was a big surprise and maybe Rodgers thought for certain he'd be gone and that's mostly who he's referring to. I don't know. I did not ask him. Maybe he really thought there would be a tear down of the team from this past two seasons? Either way, I thought the point is there that it was a concern of Rodgers and it is a concern that was taken care of quite well considering the cap situation. It'd be interesting to hear his thoughts on that.
  6. Aaron Rodgers was so distraught after last year’s title game in part because he sensed the roster was going to look much different in 2021. We all did. Well, the Packers have brought back just about everyone of significance. A very interesting and good point. Follow Up: Packers will likely return 10 of the 12 players (Linsley, Wagner) that played at least 450 offensive snaps and 12 of the 13 players (Kirksey) that played at least 400 defensive snaps last season.
  7. You should be happy Taylor is optioned then. He can then use that option coming back and forth for when Cain is hurt all the time... Instead, you wanted to see him traded away so he could get his opportunity. See how that doesn't align with your thinking?
  8. Maybe kids would watch baseball if Nickolodean put some slime on some guys!
  9. I like the idea of giving this group another shot at accomplishing the goal of a Super Bowl. I'm excited about it. They've won 13 games in back-to-back seasons and made the NFC Championship game. We all know that but that is a great accomplishment in itself and I like the idea of seeing this through and hoping that they figure out a way for this group to get over the top. It'll make it that much sweeter if King and co figure it out.
  10. The team can't be good if they don't make moves you agree with. Impossible.
  11. Herman is right. King is a decent starting CB when healthy. But is currently drenched in the stink of the worst game of his career on the biggest stage. Hopefully he'll use it as motivation to come out and have a good yeaer. Yep. It is impossible not to have a clouded judgment on the guy considering what his last game looked like. Hopefully, we will get his best for a year because he will be looking to cash in after this I would think. If we get that, this is a very good move for the Packers.
  12. Not me. This is what I think it will look like. C: Narvaez, Pina 1B: Hiura, Vogelbach 2B: Wong SS: Urias 3B: Shaw OF: Yelich, Cain, Garcia, JBJ UT: Robertson, Arcia
  13. This just isn't true and it really never has been. While Aaron Rodgers is great at football, he has PLENTY of talent around him which is a big reason for that MVP season. Here is just from the offensive side of things so far: -Resigned best LT in the game. -Consistently have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL -Have a top 3 WR, if not the best WR on their team, and probably will for years to come. -Resign Jones who is one of the best backs in the NFL and fits our scheme perfectly. -Put a 2nd round tendy on Rodgers best red zone target ensuring he will be a Packer. -Invested in another stud RB to center around Rodgers in last year's draft who will now play a bigger role. -Restructured Funchess to see if that is fit within what we already have at the WR position. I see MVS continuing to improve, Lazard doing what he does, etc... I'm sure there is more to put in here but the Packers are consistently making some pretty smart moves and it is a big reason why they've won 13 games each in the past two seasons.
  14. So what would be your solution if you were running the team? [sarcasm]Third base.[/sarcasm]
  15. Likable guy but I am also on the side that he can be a bit annoying. He will fit in well with a younger generation of social media attention seekers. I just wouldn't want to listen to him for a full 9-innings of any baseball game until he gets some seasoning and working out some of the kinks he has in front of a camera.
  16. Fuller hopped back to Vic as quickly as he was released. Let's not make this more than it is here.
  17. I am okay with the reunion. I hope he can find some health for a season, give us his best, and then send him on his way to make bank elsewhere.
  18. I'm confused here. We are not made at the Brewers organization for having too many good players at a position?
  19. I just hate the misconception that the Packers are not surrounding Rodgers with talent. It's just so wrong in my opinion and I don't think this team has fallen short of winning another Super Bowl because of it. Unfortunately, there are many factors that lead to winning it all. They've been on the wrong side of that for various reasons but I don't think the talent was/is the issue. I do agree with PeaveyFury that there are many in the fanbase that are and will struggle that the Packers organization is going to look toward the future as well as the present. It will bother fans that they don't take the cap suicide pill that many want them to. I just don't see this front office doing that.
  20. As they should be. Not saying your statement is 100% accurate but it is the case, I am glad the FO is doing just that. The Packers will be around a lot longer than #12.
  21. The Packers might want to see what Love looks like too before making financial commitments. Maybe Love looks like the real deal after this season and they start preparing for that transition. In all reality, that would be the hope of the franchise I'm sure. Finding the "next" QB is always the hardest.
  22. I think those are things you say as it probably is what he would like. But he also might be seeing this two-year situation as the last window for success in GB and maybe wants to keep options open to get elsewhere late in his career. It's not like he's been a huge fan of some the front office decisions as of late so it wouldn't surprise me to see him want a shakeup.
  23. Which years? It looks like the Big Ten does a pretty good job overall representing themselves in this tournament. This chart is 9 years old, so it's really dated. One thing that has not changed in that span though is the number of championships brought home by the B10. The B10 most years is deep but not very top heavy. They produce a lot of good but not great teams which usually gets them pretty good representation in the tournament and even sweet 16 but few championship runs. I mean, they have pretty good representation in the final four over the years too. Just scanning it over and there aren’t too many years without a team in it and there have been a couple seasons with two teams. I just don’t get the overrated talk. The Big Ten produces good basketball teams. They usually don’t got the ways of the one and done type player either. So that also may be why you don’t see as many champions. But to say overrated is not correct in my opinion.
