  1. I see Green and Reyes are gone now. Looks to be Arcia, Robertson, Shaw, Urias to remain right now.
  2. Arcia has "grown-up" on the big stage and has probably paid for it in his process of becoming an MLB player. He was forced up young. He has now shown indications of improvement. It would also be nuts to ignore that and move on from him without actually seeing if something has changed.
  3. Glad he's back and looking forward to him bashing some bombs into some semi-filled stands.
  4. The Patriots have gone crazy. The list just keeps on growing of players bought. It will make it all even better if they stink next season. Either way, it makes for something to talk about.
  5. This is exactly where I am at. If that is the reason we are playing him, it isn't in his best interest and it sure isn't in the team's best interest of trying to win ball games.
  6. The thing is, you can be excited to have Aaron Jones back and realize he makes us a better team, and still question whether the money spend on him and the pick spend on Dillon is the best use of our resources. You can be both of those people -- and I'm definitely one. You can definitely do that. Or, we can acknowledge that Gute has a pretty good track record of success when he 'goes off the beaten path a bit' and give him the benefit of the doubt, which I understand that most fans aren't willing to do for whatever reason.... I also did not see one post of any sort of excitement. It is one thing to acknowledge that spending on a running back may not be the best use of resources but that isn't what happened here with this poster.
  7. They aren't shopping him. They never have. They just aren't telling teams that he isn't available. I'm sure from the Brewers point of view, if the Padres are serious about competing with the Dodgers for the next several seasons, they'll step up to shore up the one area of their team where the Dodgers have a sizable advantage - the bullpen. If the Padres don't ... good luck. Bingo. They have their price when people come asking as they should. The rest of this is just bored people discussing stuff that more than likely will never occur.
  8. Caufield with the game tying and overtime game winning goal today against Penn State. Kids incredible.
  9. Blocking him? He’s not even playing. This is back to back springs he’s become unavailable. Say what you want about Arcia but he’s always good to go. Urias better get it going or he really will be a AAAA type player.
  10. Yeah, Urias shouldn't sniff our opening day roster.
  11. Free-agent running back Jamaal Williams acknowledges that he won't return to the #Packers following Aaron Jones' extension: "It's just sad that we won't be able to play together again.
  12. 9th seed in the South vs. North Carolina and would play Baylor if they win.
  13. Rodgers is going to continue to get older and just had his most successful season throwing the ball off play action. That’s going to continue to be a staple of the MLF offense and will help Rodgers continue to stay healthy. Or at least give him a better chance to.
  14. Fisher injured.
  15. I know you hate questioning of the draft picks but when you had a team that was a play away from the Super Bowl with a rookie draft class that really didn't contribute whatsoever in 2020, I think it's fair to question it. Questioning draft choices in year one is pretty lame, that’s why. It takes time to evaluate. Look no further than the 2019 Packers picks and reactions to see just that.
  16. Why does he need to be anything more than he’s already been for the Packers? The Packers don’t have old ass Brees dumping off the ball to Kamara every down. The offense will still run through Rodgers and Jones will do what he does.
  17. Why does any pick need “justification”? They chose Dillon because they think he’s going to help them win football games. And he will probably do just that moving forward. Too many get hung up on draft picks and when a player is taken. Who cares? We’ve seen enough from Dillon to know that he too looks special. Hopefully he will contribute that next season on a regular basis.
  18. Packers ran the ball 366 times last season (201-Jones, 119-Williams, 46-Dillon). It wouldn’t shock me to see Jones run it about 200 times next season with Dillon getting about 150 carries. This would be about 350 carries for about 1,700 yards or so. This doesn’t even touch what they’ll do in the passing game. Combined they will more than likely add in about 500-600 yards. Call Dillon a “back up” if you want to but he will play a large role in next years offense and their backfield will be a lot of fun to watch.
  19. Houser Injury Watch
  20. Maybe that’s not the complaint but signing highly talented players to surround Rodgers with for sure has been and they’ve just did it today.it will help them win games. It’s a good thing.
  21. Jones, 26, is one of only two players in NFL history to post 3,000-plus yards rushing (3,364) and 35-plus rushing touchdowns (37) with an average of 5-plus yards per carry (5.2) in their first four seasons. Jim Brown is the other. Neat little stat.
  22. I want to like it. I do. But he’s a running back that could’ve been replaced. That being said he is a great dude and I enjoy having him on our team. And he seems to really love GB.
  23. I think if they played in the same league/division it might be easier to compare with using World Series as a marker. I’d say the two franchises have been very good at using their resources wisely to compete at high levels.
